I will say that Franco had moved to the next level when he was playing 90 minutes under Sheehan at the end of the season. To say anything else seems madness. He was playing in a makeshift square pegs midfield against Middlesborough and still did enough IMO. Choices for the manager going forward.Cooper will go. Fulton is gonna have little if no game time. Franco is odd one for me. Fan favourite, has a bite about him but hasn't really gone to next level. It's mad to think that this is even a discussion. If this was January earlier in the year then we would be struggling to think of options. I would keep Franco though. I do like him. Makes little to no sense to move him on when you have Fulton and Cooper behind him.
That's fine, he's still a Central Midfielder thoughSteely. (Just saying)
Is correct.Perhaps wait to see the new signings actually play before making a judgement
Let’s get real. Fulton starts again todayCooper will go. Fulton is gonna have little if no game time. Franco is odd one for me. If this is in relation to Fulton. He was lucky he got such a big contract when he did. If it wasn't for the bad recruitment and ownership then he would of long gone. You can add Grimes to that. Too many managers and people in charge was to scared to rock the boat.It must be horrible tho being at a club ( that you presumably love ) and watching yourself fall further down the pecking order.
Tbh i was talking in general terms about any club and any player but more especially about lower league players not on much money. If this is in relation to Fulton. He was lucky he got such a big contract when he did. If it wasn't for the bad recruitment and ownership then he would of long gone. You can add Grimes to that. Too many managers and people in charge was to scared to rock the boat.
They did have Messi mind…Bump, great thread.
Clearly not our best midfield just now however proper kudos to our recruitment intelligence.
Barcelona had a team of mostly midfielders, where every player could play almost any position on the pitch. Midfielders are complete players, the most naturally gifted, naturally comfortable with the ball. We are now so stocked with bundles of natural talent and latent ability.
We need the manager to step up, deliver and get the very best out of our cleverly assembled uber strong squad.
Exciting times on our ongoing upwards trajectory to the next level.
He’s no Jay Fulton, that’s for sureThey did have Messi mind…
