Hopefully it'll translate to the championship, 11 goals in 71 championship games for Norwich is nowhere near good enough
He was also very young when he was playing for Norwich in the Championship. Was 22 when he left there. I’m sure he only started 12 of the 28 games he played in his last season there and he scored 6, so not bad really for a player in and out of the side. He’ll have gained valuable experience in Scotland too so I think there’s scope for him to do very well if we can get the most out of him.

As said above the profile of player that we are looking at (correctly) makes previous track record a very dubious measure.

When you sign players aged 23 or 24, and then look back a couple of seasons, you are comparing boys to men.

Idah is just about to come into his prime, and sign in players with this age profile gives us a huge opportunity to cash in. Should they achieve their potential.

Just like Vipotnik.

I sincerely hope we have done our homework on this signing. Number 9's are a premium in this league and £6M is a big outlay for mixed reviews on him.

Saying that, I've been impressed with all our summer signings so hopefully the trend continues..

Our Assistant manager worked closely with him last season. He will know the lad and what he can do. Him being at Celtic was too much for him to cope with and handle with the pressures he felt to be a success at his boyhood team. He’s still young. There was a viscous circle and it started to build. You can look to the Celtic match today to see that service is an issue. Something we need to work on too. He will be a success, I put a JH guarantee on it.
