I’m late on here too, I saw the board being renamed but I never put 2 and 2 together.

I’ve been posting on and off here since 2008 I think when it was planet swans and Blaze has been a massive contributor and a great poster. I never met him (a regret) but always enjoyed reading his posts and he was up there as one of our most dedicated fans. I remember reading about his trip to Austria and he was a great presence on this site.

So so sad to hear this - though so nice to hear from some posters who I’d not heard from in a long while , Swansforever being just one and all have given lovely tributes to our comrade.

Rest in peace Blaze.

Like everyone else this news has stopped me in my tracks. 💔

My thoughts are with the family, rest in peace fella, your loss is a big one to get over.

I just read this devastating news in today’s matchday programme. I had to come on here to check it was the same James Dwyer because I couldn’t believe it, and didn’t want to.

I first came across James on the Swans Online forum, to which I contributed far more often than I do now, many years ago. It saddens me to say I never met him in person, but we spoke at length on that forum and he was undoubtedly one of the good guys.

Sending my love and sincerest condolences go to his family and friends and those who knew him far better than I did, such as yourself, Darran. Rest well my friend, it was a privilege to have known you. ❤️

I didn't really know Blaze personally but like so many on here you feel you know people through their postings. I asked him a few times for advice on design things which he was always more than happy to provide a viewpoint in or a point in the right direction.

This is so sad to read and I hope his family take some comfort on how he was thought of on here and what his online friends are posting.

These forums have dedications to people we have lost from on here (Lord Bony, Davillin and Ebo) and Blaze is right in that category for me, he will be missed for his postings.

RIP James and thank you for being part of our community.
Phil, this reminds me that James actually designed my profile pic on here! I’d asked for his advice on designing a Swans flag. He responded immediately asking me what I wanted and he’d design it for me. I thanked him and gave him some pointers (1st Division Swans logo with the Welsh national team’s logo inspired by the John Charles memorial Wales kit (black with a white vertical stripe and thinner red stripe) and ‘Jacs y Canolbarth’ (Mid Wales Jacks) in prominent lettering, so certainly not simple - not to me anyway!). He came back to me in no time with about 3 or 4 different options. Nothing was too much trouble. The result is what you see, and a 6x3 foot flag which I’m very proud of. A lovely, and very talented guy.

Every time he designed something for me he’d suggest something a bit different to what I had come up with and every time he was right.

This has hit me a bit hard to be honest.

Anyone else going to the funeral? I'll be there if anyone needs support?

There was a time when we were quite close, we even did non football bits. The poor sod came to the gym with me for a while. 6.30am sessions in Brays weren't for everyone but he managed it.

We were a part of the old Swansonline forum and we came on here when it closed. This place was known to hostile as f*ck and whilst others didn't make the switch, many others didn't.

Travelling to stupid preseason games in the middle of nowhere, reserve games in port talbot in the rain.

Sitting here ready to watch the game and remembering the playoff final, we travelled together to watch. Maybe the best day this club has ever had and the hug when Borini scored his goal which pretty much secured promotion.

A couple on here know I've had my own battles that took me away from this stuff. I just can't shake the feeling that I could have helped. I found a way to battle my demons, even though it cost me my marriage and I had to start all over again. Maybe the skills i learned could have helped?

If you're struggling, please speak to someone.

I’ll be there David.

I have been away for over a week and only just saw this, i. Cannot believe this i only knew him to say hello to, i would drive my son to away games and James would often be there and we would say hello in motorway services or at the ground. He was quite shy but had a good sense of humour, he loved talking cars (most of which had seen better days) and music.

I am in total shock, I haven’t seen him for several years as i no longer do away games now, terrible thing for someone so young and talented.

I’m sure he introduced me to you.

Thanks for that Blaze. 🙄
