Agree it wasn’t free flowing but I do think it was a bit more progressive and entertaining, think it’s a bit safe now.
I thought that it was safe football at the back end of last season; we just happened to put together a run of results which was above average.

For perspective... Coventry struggled against Leicester and didn't score against them and a team scoring 4. 5 and 7 goals at will against everybody else needs to be recognised. AS does need to workout his best X1 balanced side and formation. There is too much reliance on Galbraith at the moment.

On the right hand side debate, I agree that Key needs a break and looking at the Leicester first goal yesterday replicated the same issue we had for Millwall's goal where a shot/cross was allowed to happen with no conviction to cose the space down.
Who else would love to see the Swans become more ruthless and opportunistic, constantly pushing...?

At present there's too much emphasis on keeping the ball, even if it means going backwards and sideways more often. It seems to many here though that pointing this out is being, somewhat, "excessive".

My use of the word "gutless" was intended to stir debate on this issue as something needs to change if we are to be a top table team or, dare I say it, promoted. We need to get out of this current mindset of play because the Premier League and Europe (thinking of the potential future, here!) require speed and aggression, not holding ball.

There are times when we ponder on the ball and invertently go backwards which is frustrating. As I posted elsewhere, AS needs to find the right balance and best starting 11... we are only 10 games so I think AS will tweak to get the right approach with a new built squad

I think if things are the same after 20 games with 7 wins on the board then I think the owners might be asking questions of AS.

Title of this thread is in extremely poor taste.

Agreed. These changes are needed now though if we are to succeed... It will take time to implement this and make it second nature to the squad.

Just to clarify - do you think it was ‘another gutless performance’.

Constructive criticism isn't well received on here, do you know who we are, we're Swansea City, we can't compete, we're that league two team down the vetch with cold pasties and one man and his dog in the crowd, we're unable to pass forward ffs, the resources just dictate that a forward pass is impossible

Do you know who we are, passing at pace is a ludicrous suggestion, Swansea City is a midtable team, only premier league teams pass at pace, and Swansea the midtable slow laborious football is what we should expect, you unrealistic heathen, how dare you suggest such stuff

It seems to be a sad reality here...

Criticism, regardless of how constructive it is (or the positive intent behind it) just results in one of three responses here:-

1) Childish name calling and insults by certain cliques.
2) Blanket denial (Everything is just peachy, apparently!).
3) A discussion on the subject.

We could just get along more, considering we're supposed to be supporters of the same team... But some here prefer infighting, bickering or just being petty.

'Ambition' & 'Performance'... Taboo subjects to some.

Starting threads with ridiculous titles like "another gutless performance" isn't helping, if you want to be taken seriously.

I've noticed you've thrown your toys out of the pram on a few occasions when people have disagreed with your views, it might be worth your taking your own advice before having digs at other users of the forum and throwing baseless accusations around of cliques because the majority of people don't agree with you.

It seems to me that the thread title was designed to provoke the very reaction that it did, and the OP is now moaning about. :)

I doubt there is a single supporter that doesn't want more wins, more attacks, more excitement and various other 'mores'. Some in true internet fashion think today is the measuring point that will never change; some, more grounded in the real world think that the time to judge is nowhere near now. Doesn't mean blanket approval, by any means. The two might converge, who knows, it's still months and months too early.

I bet this sort of thread is replicated on every other forum of every other club. Arsenal will have one when they lose a game or two. Scousehouse probably already do.

Oh and in my opinion, it's not gutless. It has been in the past. Not least Wembley.

Damn you and your sensibility, damn you

"Throwing toys out of the pram"?

Or just your perception?
