Yalcouye and Franco

I think this is true, more than there being some "anti Swansea" conspiracy with every referee. I'm sure fans of every club feel like they get unfair treatment from referees.

The officials in the Premier League are bad enough and they're supposed to be the best ones so the EFL is left with the dregs
I agree with that, incompetent rather than biased generally.
Did you see the one in the Boro game where the opposition keeper took a swipe at the ball, missed it & clearly kicked the striker? The most obvious penalty you'll ever see but the ref didn't give it 🤷‍♂️

I agree Yalcouye was a silly boy but it doesn't take a lot for refs to produce red cards for us. Darling last season should never have been sent off v Sheffield United but Wilder had a tantrum in front of the ref and he caved in. Go back to Luton away a few years back and Lansbury literally kicks Manning up in the air when the ball was dead, ref saw it but did nothing about it.

We get a bum deal with refs most of the time. It's infuriating.
It certainly is a very strange phenomenon we seem to encounter with referees, and their handling of Swansea games.
I’ve lost count the number of times it’s been mentioned on Swans forums, with the answers normally being “We woz robbed!”
I remember when Sousa was manager, he even thought of going to the FA over the fact that (correct me if I’m wrong) we didn’t have one penalty awarded to us for the majority of the season, if not the whole season?
Even if you weren’t the greatest of attacking teams, surely by the law of averages you would get the odd shout out for a pen ?
Have we used up our ration for the season, with Galbraith’s one against Leicester ?

I could do hours on this. Number of times Nathan Dyer would get kicked to pieces for 90 mins by the left back, and if he was lucky the ref would show a token yellow about 5 mins before the end. The Madley ghost pen v Stoke. Could go on and on. It's never been a level playing field

I think Gary Monk actually did contact the Premier league about the incompetence we faced on a weekly basis.

Yes, that one was genuinely ridiculous 😂

In light of our perceived incompetence of Swans match officials, Can someone explain to me what referee’s assessors put down as feedback, on these Swans games they have just watched ?
Because i and probably thousands of others, see fek all changes after those reports go in.
This is what they supposedly have as a remitt ~~>

Note the last paragraph:
As part mentor, part instructor, part counselor and sometimes more, the assessor must strive to provide a positive approach that can contribute to short- and long-term improvement by every member of the assessed officiating team.

I rest my case M’Lud

Surely they must watch replays of matches and some of the contentious decisions and talk through the errors.

The lack of accountability is a concern. If a ref has a nightmare they get dropped down a division.

Swansea City 🦢 v Norwich 🐥
