Me.Who said any of that then ??
This government should be going after their billionaire friends.
Me.Who said any of that then ??
This 100%, I've never said anything different in fact I've said virtually the same comments, Starmer has given billions upon billions away to make himself look good when the truth is others are laughing at him when his actions in spending this money is putting the country into virtually three trillion in debt.Unfortunately Max, you are talking real world issues, folk can throw facts and figures where ever they want, it ain't going to change what's happening on the streets. Food banks, people who cant pay for gas and electric, food bills through the roof, youngsters who have no hope of getting on the property ladder, ordinary working folk being screwed for ever penny and some. Child poverty, dont even get me started on that. Its fvckin shocking, and when they saw a glimmer of hope, the switch has been turned off. Billions and billions being spunked away, on anything and everything other than helping folk in this country. That's the reality, fvcking tampin. Governments past and present, not worth a w**k.
100%Me.
This government should be going after their billionaire friends.
The massive black hole that doesn't exist you mean, there's a report out says that Reeves lied and there is or was 4billion tucked away in the pot.
You don't believe it though no doubt.![]()
Max, re interest on savings…Who can afford to pay 20k into isa's every year? and who mentioned isa's? Pensioners shouldn't be taxed on their pensions or the interest on their savings in my view savings that they have scrimped and saved to help them in their retirement to live and maybe have a few luxuries the way energy bills and the like are increasing the won't be able to live without their maybe modest savings.
All the while they are seeing this government give billions away, in foreign aid etc.
It's not about squeezing more out of the billionaires, it's just simply asking them pay what they should actually be paying.Interesting truths for those “tax the rich” types
In the UK the top 1% pay 30% of tax revenue
The top 10% pay 60% of tax revenue
This is literally like Scandinavia. The big difference from there is that other income levels pay much more tax.
If you think squeezing more out the top brackets makes sense I’d strongly urge caution. That sounds like a recipe for never ending tepid growth.
"So what would you do to fill that gap in finances?"That is a debatable subject. But literally removing pensioners from tax is not.
That is overnight creating a significant black hole in finances. No tax on pensions plus be 10s of billions.
I looked it up 23bn in 2023
So what would you do to fill that gap in finances? Fine if you move that to other groups that’s a political choice. Or cut spending to cover it.
But don’t do your usual isn’t awful spiel. These are choices that’s a big choice.
Who is this Starmer fella? It's not about squeezing more out of the billionaires, it's just simply asking them pay what they should actually be paying.
Which of course won't happen because Starmer and his gang are too frightened of upsetting their friends and losing their donations.
Working classWho is this Starmer fella?
The one I know is a working class man who has done well and risen to the top of his profession and now PM
Hahahahahahaha"So what would you do to fill that gap in finances?"
Stopping giving billions upon billions away in foreign aid would be a starting point and the ridiculous amount of money these boat people are costing, also removing the two child cap they could have maybe just increased it to three perhaps, there was a parent talking on the news last week who has 5 children saying that her monthly benefits would rise from £900 to £2000 that's more than working people take home a month to their families, we've all heard cases where people have said that they have more money on benefits than they'd get working, that is likely to get worse now, this government would rather take money off pensioners if they go above the Tax threshold which is ridiculously low in the first place at £12,750.
Yes working class - oh sorry has he had the audacity to better himselfWorking class![]()
I think I preferred it when you had me on ignore. There is nothing working class about Starmer.Yes working class - oh sorry has he had the audacity to better himself
Working class
Next you'll be telling me his father was a tool maker.
Starmer was probably brought up in what I’d describe as lower middle class. What would meet your definition of “working though?I think I preferred it when you had me on ignore. There is nothing working class about Starmer.
Your argument has very little do with him and his mates not paying their fair share of tax.
This is what you do. You just deflect go on have a bit of bottle explain in concrete terms why he is no 1 not from a working class background and who his rich mates are.I think I preferred it when you had me on ignore. There is nothing working class about Starmer.
