• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

I read (on another forum) that if Wales qualified, their first game would be against the hosts Canada at the BMO Stadium in Toronto. The ground has a capacity of 28,000 which is being increased to 45,000 with the addition of temporary seating.
There are only going to be a very very small number Category 4 tickets available, the next cheapest tickets are the Category 3 tickets which are going to be $715 US or £532 at today’s rate. I’ve followed Wales a long time and thought we could have a holiday in the US/ Canada if we qualified, but for me, wifey and the 2 kids d be looking at £2k in tickets for this one game! Mental.

The whole thing is obscene. I hope the fans vote with their feet.

Over £3K for the cheapest ticket for the final. 😱
A ticket for the cheapest world cup final tier is enough to watch the Swans for almost a decade

By the time you include flights and accommodation even if you only stay a few days before the final and left the day after you would probably be looking at close to ten grand.

The price for a world cup final ticket at Qatar was £450 - I pray to god that people boycott this and that Infantino faces the music. Some jump in prices you can understand, but Inflationtino has ramped up the cost by over 700%

Yeah, the prices are certainly robbery. I will tell you though, were Wales to qualify, the other two games would be far cheaper.

FIFA have decided to make host country match tickets nearly double most other group stage match tickets. I tend to believe that tickets to the match against Qatar in Seattle would be far, far cheaper.

It’s a pity FIFA are doing this, I’ve been to Toronto before and really liked the place and would have liked to have returned.
If Wales qualify and I go, (two big IFs) I’ll probably bypass Canada completely and head straight to LA and then Seattle because £2k for 4 tickets is scandalous.
