Marko Stamenic

After some shocking early displays he is coming along nicely. I just wish he was a bit quicker in possession. Pass or run. Takes that split second too long too often.
I feel that way a lot about Galbraith too. Bloody good player, obviously, but often takes the extra touch or pirouettes around and ignores the easy effective pass in the moment.

Both do so much good stuff it’s forgivable of course, but I think they can both get better.

There’s a few of our players who could do with a kick up the ass when it comes to running with the ball.
In the first half, it opened right up for Franco on the left, the whole West stand were shouting “run” “drive” “go!!!”. He could easily have burst into the box but ended up stuck in 2 minds and then having a crap shot from miles out.
I’d also love it if, when Tymon goes on one of his runs, he accelerates into the box rather than slow down.
Of course, this is what our wingers should be doing but my psychiatrist, family, friends and priest have told me to let that go.

In fairness, many players have probably spent most of their recent careers being coached not to take risks in possession by the various Poundshop Pep's out there. Going to be a hard habit to break for a lot of them.

I started a thread questioning what he was offering a little while back after looking more than decent in first few matches.

Adding to the rest here that his last few games have been superb, will be fantastic if he keeps that up.

His last few games have been great because Galbraith has been moved to right back.

We are a better midfield with Galbraith at full back and a better team.

Fortunately, it looks like some are starting to break their conditioning. We had 22 attempts on goal against Wrexham whereas it used to take us 7 or 8 games to do that not so long ago. .

I would say we’re a better midfield despite Galbraith at RB is more accurate. He hasn’t really had the chance to show what he can do there under Matos.

Better team yes, but that’s because we have someone who can actually defend the wing now.

He had more line breaks moving from defensive midfield into the midfield proper and attacking midfield positions last night than he has most of the season combined. He played an excellent part in our attacking play even when it stuttered at the final hurdle (getting service into the box for Vipotnik) none of that was a fault of his own play.
He’s not a CDM in my opinion. That’s Galbraith but Stamenic is definitely more of an 8 - he’ll win the ball back higher up the pitch and cause opposition defences a lot of problems with his physicality.
