every club in the championship is it? Only us and Charlton with any concrete interest.

Great signing and valuable enough to pay for the full summer business plus some left over. Proper Swansea signing.

Stamenic and Widdell showing more than glimpses now aswell. Inoussa raw but will also come good.

Are you saying that only 2 clubs in the Championship were aware of Galbraith? Be realistic - he wasn't a hidden gem he'd been linked to us in windows prior to the one where he did sign. As I say, most credit goes to the negotiating team on that.

Widell id say has also shown signs- but these are expensive players showing just signs so far. As I stated at the outset, these players COULD come good. Is 1 cert and some expensive maybes enough for promotion to director level at this stage!?

He was only linked to us in January because Worth wanted him then too. At the time it was met with a lot of “who??”.

Fans, including me only started taking notice of him since then. He’s the definition of a hidden gem, which is why no other club went for him. He played right back for majority of his spell at Orient if memory serves.

Michu was known, he was scoring goals in La Liga, we still got huge credit for being the club to see his true value and again known as a hidden gem.

Not crediting worth with signing Galbraith is peak agenda due to falling out on here previously, had same discussion with Phil a day or so back.

I see the Christmas Day moaning at anything truce is over.

Miserable bastards aye 🤣

I swear some people want things to go tits up just so they can say “I told you so”.

Uppafuckingswans

Can't wait for the usual suspects on the match day thread to express how shit we are if we go one down.

How do you think we are going to go today,Smurph?

Personally, looking for a good performance and if we come away with anything then it will be a bonus.

Head say's we will lose and my heart says we'll pinch a narrow win.

I'll take a competitive performance over some of the limp displays we've seen this season so far.

He deserves credit for identifying him don't get me wrong. But let's not pretend picking out a Northern Irish international player playing well and regularly in the league (a well performing club) below from a club we'd recently done business with and alongside a former well known swan is anything comparable to plucking an unknown late 20s Michu from an unfashionable Spanish club for a similar price to Galbraith.

Were Laudrup/ Tutumlu given directorships?

And ive no agenda on the guy, he didn't promote himself to director. Ive said previously his history of forum use should have no bearing whatsoever on his job now.

Hiring a player with a 14 la liga goals from midfield is the same as a league 1 player at orient? Truth is no champ sides fancied apart from us and Charlton and he had only played less than half of football for Northern Ireland at time of interest.

no idea what directorship entails truth be told but the ownership like him and rate him enough to give him a promotion if that’s what this even is.

No they're completely incomparable as 'hidden gems' for all the reasons I stated previously.

They certainly do. We know enamoured you are of them but these are the same people who hired or at least oversaw the likes of Sheehan and Montague let's not forget. So id just prefer to the see actual results of the guys labours (not just some aspects of his work are looking fairly good) before bumping him up even further (he seems to be pretty influential as it was).

I think a good performance as a minimum as every game is important especially today, away to the team top of the league, it would atleast keep the confidence to a decent level.

Lets hope that we can come away with something 🤞

You want to see an outcome of success/regular and consistent performances rather than talking about potential and what could happen in time?
I think this far, when you consider that after all the signings that only Galbraith is being talked as a solid success gives a bit of hindsight of where we are......and that's not really a foundation to be talking people up and/or praising them to levels that we are reading.

I think discussions would be very different if it were someone with no history or familiarity with many of us on a personal level and I believe that would be different in both ways. It's all rather strange and that includes from both sides of the sand.

Equally how many times have you heard fans criticise the likes of Cullen, Key, Ronald, Cabango - all pre the new recruitment team. Yet the personnel responsible for signing those players never get mentioned?

I dont do personalities. Unless they royally cock up. My interest for now is for those on the pitch, the coach and his team and desperately wanting positivity in the stands.
