Stamanic = success, better than what we had last season in his role and looks to be getting better

Galbraith = success, better than what we had last season in midfield and RB. Better then anyone else on the team

Yalcoua = unsure but when he comes on he looks far better than Franco. Does not have the trust of the managers though, could be a huge success but after what he was built up to be it feels a flop

Innousa = partial success, I think once he settles he’s better than any of our wingers

Idah = unsure, better than Cullen up top for holding the ball up etc but looks lazy. Jury is out.

Wales - unsure, I like him and he looks good when he plays. Young though and needs time and opportunity’s or loan to league 1

Burgess = unsure, thought he looked great at start and what a coup. But he’s dangerous in our own box and has a few terrible passes to them a game.

Casey = success and solid but not had much time

Samuel’s smith as above

Benson = dreadful

Only my opinion and I respect that others will completely disagree with me but that’s how I’ve seen the signings.
You have missed out Widell - getting better and better in every game, doesn't shy away from a tackle and not far off from being a regular starter.

Yes totally forgot. For me he is a success.
Took a bit of time to get going but feel he will be a key player for us. Offers more than Cullen does. Presses well and will tackle, skilful, good technique and looks to get a shot off.

Wow now, let's not jump the gun - Widdell is showing signs that he can turn into a good player and in my opinion he should be given a chance to start now.

But ultimately we are half way through the season, 2 managers dont consider him a regular starter, he hasn't completed a single 90mins all season and has 1 assist and 0 goals to his name. For a player that cost 3milion plus, I'm sorry - in a no way is that a success.

I am fairly confident that he could become one though.

We wouldn’t be with a different manager, hence me saying please bookmark and if it comes back to bite me then so be it.

This summer was about getting footballers who are assets for the club, we finally have that. What did Yates/Myko/Tjoe plus the others I mentioned ever bring for us? If you want a trading model which I assume we do I’m sure the owners have even mentioned it in one of their statements to fans then we need players like Galbraith, Stamenic, Widdell and Inoussa
That's been an issue, signing players who we see as future assets rather than building a team to compete. Matos even suggested himself about building a team.

I would have a bit of sympathy if the instructions were to identify players with re sale value rather than players to make a team capable of being competitive in this league. I think it's been said that our model is about re sale so they need to have a sit down and try to find a balance that works if things don't improve with the new coaching team and players.

Food for thought, I wonder what a player like Bamford would have done in our team and I'm thinking on the chances that VIP and Cullen had on the weekend. This is maybe where a DOF with experience in the football world would come in handy.

He could be our Ruben Colwill if we go down to L1 🙈
I read that post and it was like reading about Colwill.

As I said, I feel he can be a key player and in my opinion, it is a successful signing as he is better than what we had or let go of last season, and has the potential to be even better.
Time will tell!
There’s no jumping the gun here, just being excited by a player’s potential.
Of course, he could turn out to be utter dogshite like some of our other players, but I feel that won’t be the case.

Ps I forgot that he cost £3 mill! (If that’s true)?
Maybe not a success but I hope he proves to be one!

Well basing an assessment on potential is absolutely jumping the gun as we dont know whether the player will ever fulfil it.

Cullen was playing more up front last season (but he did get into double figures in goals and some assists). Hes certainly not better than O Brien. So i wouldnt say hes an improvement yet either. There might be an argument to say he passes the eye test against our current wingers mind, but thats no real achievement.

We may have to disagree here as assessing a player in my mind is not jumping a gun. Anyway £3.5 million is a lot I agree and concede that with that some he is not a success yet.

It’s all opinions and we will all have different ones.
I really hope he proves to be Adam Worth it. 🤔

I also agree that he is not better than O Brien either at the moment.

Odd post.

The lad has just landed in a different country playing in a very robust competitive league.

Saying he has the potential to succeed at his age isn’t jumping the gun at all,

Absolutely, the guy is obviously highly rated by the owners - other upper management figures have left while hes raising up. Hes going nowhere soon so he HAS to be a success.

Let’s hope he has a stormer tonight, scores and has an assist and puts in at least 5 bone crunching challenges without a card.
Making me look like a genius with my post 😁🤣🤣🤣
