• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I have tried to make the posts by the Oxford Fans easier to read in the opening post on this thread. They are not in Chronological order, but they are interesting to read.

Cheers for that. The first quoted post mentions the wrong defender being on Vipotnik for the goal, I did notice Fulton made a lovely run to drag one defender out of position, then Tymon put in the perfect cross.

Good to read. There were plenty of oppo fans comments like this earlier in the season as well. Shows we have a decent enough set of players between the boxes; but we still need improvement when we get to the opposition box. Definite signs of improvement in that under Matos though, with players looking to be more direct and attack full-backs, and much less shrinking into ourselves.

I do think we need to capitalize on this by bringing in another attacking player in Jan. We're going to end up getting deflated if we continue to get into good positions and we don't capitalize. I think we desperately need a shot in the arm in the final 3rd and I don't think it can wait until the summer, nor can we live in fairy land and believe Matos can turn Ronald into a player with composure in the final 3rd. Maybe he can bring that out of Benson when he gets back, but that would be quite a turnaround. Maybe a unicorn loan-signing that can cover for Idah and Cullen up front, but can also play out wide.

I can agree with most of their comments except the last one about Vigouroux being prone to clangers. Vigs for me has been one of the most consistent keepers in the league and Sheehan owed a lot of our early points in the season to him

I think Benson will be gone by Jan maybe?

Spot on. There have been one or two occasions this season where I felt he could have done a bit better to stop the ball going into our net, but there have been many more where he's performed a miracle to keep it out, and I can't remember one obvious clanger leading to a goal against us.

Only one downside to Vig, he's 32. I know keepers go on longer, but it would be good if we were bringing on his eventual replacement now. The Fish isn't it by any stretch.

I know we lost 1-0 to Coventry, but that save to keep out that header when the game was still 0-0 was an absolute worldie

Always good to read positive feedback. Though they should be praising there sub, Dembele. He caused us problems, was quick and we had 2 players booked because of him. Putting that aside, let's keep this positive form up
