They need to not block Burnham via the NEC and let him put his money where his mouth is. My own money is on him never being leader (I mean, come on, Scott Tracy as Prime Mincer FFS). If he thinks the sort of things he's been up to in Manchester will solve the nation's problems he's in for a big shock.

The NEC probably will block him though, as it's full of Starmtroopers, and Starmer won't have the confidence to see him off by fair means, and it'll all end badly for Starmer and the politically inept cosplaying children he's stupidly relied on.
I agree Monny, but labour have been a disaster so far, so a change is needed, the problem is, is who is the in the labour party to replace
They absolutely shouldn’t block Burnham I agree.

And Starmer suffers from an almost unbelievable lack of charisma for someone in his position and someone with his background. But he needs to get his head down and let actual achievements speak for themselves.

Agree re constant polling. One thing this latest debacle from the orange buffoon has done though is create a very real difficulty for Farage and his bunch of lunatics.
Needs to actual achieve something first, he's achieved the square root of zilch so far, unless pissing off most of the public in his 18 months an achievement.

They’ve achieved quite a lot behind the noise. It’s just that their comms are awful as others have said.

He didn’t need to be charismatic in his detail driven and fact based CPS role. That said, you’d think that his team would have worked on this since then, but it seems that they have taken the route of the grey John Major character from Spitting Image.

I’m not sure when charisma became a pre requisite for a PM. Not that I’m defending Starmer, he’s been a massive disappointment so far but that’s mostly because he’s afraid of his own shadow and has been nowhere near bold enough. They’re also terrible at communicating, although that’s starting to improve. Slowly.
Something needs to change, changes in the cabinet might help, because him and his party are not working for the people of the UK so far.

He’s a barrister by trade. I’ve yet to come across one of those who didn’t have some level of charisma.

He’s given them an out and they’re all over it.

Well it’s as close as he’s going to come to an apology.

But the Greenland debacle is not polling well and it will hit Reform.

I actually think they may have their stuffing knocked right out of them if they lose the popular vote in Wales to Plaid. I know it’s PR so no one will ‘win’ as such but
plaid getting a lot more votes than them will be a wake up call.

It’s also increasingly difficult to blame the ‘establishment’ when half of them are ex Tories. Suella the terrible is about to join by all accounts as well. Together with the appalling Kate Hoey.

The problem these days is people believe everything they see on social media or get sent on WhatsApp. It’s almost impossible to get to any semblance of the truth.
Yep. That’s when charisma became a pre requisite btw - when politics became entertainment.

I don’t know what happened to Kate Hoey. I had quite a few lengthy conversations with her in Catford, more years ago than I care to remember, and she seemed grounded and switched on. Then she just seemed to lose her mind. It’s possible I’m getting her mixed up with a different Kate, given the chasm between my memory and her reality, but I don’t think so.

What exactly? cause I can't see any achievements, all he's done in my opinion is strengthen my opinion I had of him after about 6 weeks of him becoming Leader and my opinion of him then was I thought he was a wet lettuce.
How many uturns have him and his party made now?

He's cured insomnia for a lot of people
