• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

If the local elections and Wales/Jocko are a bloodbath, and it's almost certain, then I think a challenge is inevitable. I reckon it'll be Streeting though...maybe Raynor as an outside bet or some non-entity like Phillipson.
You know it’s bad when Wes Streeting is the next cab on the rank.

I like Andy Burnham but Labour need to calm down, remember the next election is three and a half years away and spare us the continuing leadership psychodrama of the Tory years.

I quite genuinely can’t bear him.

He’s Labour’s answer to Jenrick. All ego and ambition no principles.

Harsh comparing anyone to Jenrick but I take your point.
It is but there is something about him which is very very similar.

I agree with your previous point about not panicking.

Underneath all the hysteria on social media, the economy is showing some positive signs at last. Borrowing last month was way below even the most optimistic forecasts. Other economic indicators are going in the right direction as well. Starmer is doing ok on the world stage. Beginning to get a grip on the EU question. Immigration figures beginning to get a bit more control. The NHS beginning to catch up, They need to stop listening to the right wing media driven agenda.

Spot on.

They'd be mental to change Starmer in the next year in my opinion, but they shouldn't block Burnham, they should have the debate. Starmers lack of political skill will finish him barring a miracle, but like him or not (and I'm no cheerleader) there should be a much higher hurdle on switching PM horses in mid stream. Also I would ban any public opinion polls between election windows. The hysteria this nonsense generates is unhelpful.

They absolutely shouldn’t block Burnham I agree.

And Starmer suffers from an almost unbelievable lack of charisma for someone in his position and someone with his background. But he needs to get his head down and let actual achievements speak for themselves.

Agree re constant polling. One thing this latest debacle from the orange buffoon has done though is create a very real difficulty for Farage and his bunch of lunatics.

I wonder if Starmer went private or had his charisma bypass on the NHS 🤔

I’m not sure when charisma became a pre requisite for a PM. Not that I’m defending Starmer, he’s been a massive disappointment so far but that’s mostly because he’s afraid of his own shadow and has been nowhere near bold enough. They’re also terrible at communicating, although that’s starting to improve. Slowly.
