I suspect that they kept him on for humanitarian reasons.
He came up with a good line about inconsistent teams being like a bag of Revels about 15 years ago and repeats it regularly ever since. He must be due another good line soon.
Quote “He must be due another good line soon”!! I think his recreational partaking is over now, what with him going into rehab all them years ago.

Not read any of the previous just jumping in. Lost everything but kept his mind. Was renting and working to pay rent. Good on him.

He really disliked us when he was Walsall manager

Walsall 2 Swans 5

Yeah his post match comments were bizzare, the crowd turned on him second half and unbeknown to many he had started drinking and gambling again and split with his wife after being in rehab 12 months earlier

I think even Merse himself would admit that given his demons the stress of management was not for him.

Someone mentioned on the old Twitter that Mohammed would block someone simply for being from Swansea, thought I'd see for myself, within 24hrs I was indeed blocked 🚫, despite never having tagged or mentioned him. 😂
Me too. Only because i asked him back then whether he was going to congratulate the Swans on their 6th season on the Prem.

He’s on this weeks Gary Neville podcast. The Overlap, best sports podcast out there imo.

It's brilliant. Keano's great too - love his connection with Wright.

You can see why the Class of '92 won so much. Whenever they have a couple of them in there with them, the camaraderie is fantastic. You can see that Keane would die for his team mates.

Hated Keane and Neville as players, but their podcast is brilliant. If I was still drinking 👀🤣 I’d love to go for a pint with Keane.
