I agree that the match is pointless from a football point of view and I’m 50-50 whether I’m going to go, but asking/expecting a refund/free entry to another game would be ‘hurting’ the wrong people IMO.Yes that sounds good. If it benefits grass roots football in Wales then I stand corrected. There is a small point to the nearly pointless match.

Anyone at this match in 1970. Wales v Northern Ireland in the home championship at the Vetch. George Best being eyed up by the police and everyone else. Big crowd of over 27,000.

Was at that match, we were expected to win talking to some NI fans before the game, but rescued a point near the end. There was a big brawl in the prince of Wales pub before kickoff which resulted in the pub being shut and everyone thrown out, really annoying as I was half way through my sausage and chipsI have a feeling it will be 2/3s full on Tuesday even with the match sold out. I wouldn’t travel a long way to watch the match. The fans in North, Mid and West Wales will think twice about attending. What will help will be it being the Easter Holidays for the children, so some parents will also be off work. The 2 matches I seem to recall v Northern Ireland were the match at Parc des Princes in 2016. I also recall a rather bonkers match at the Millennium Stadium with 3 sendings off early in the match. Not sure that Savage did a huge amount to get his red. Pulled the guys shirt after he was cropped. A crowd of 63,500 was there at the then Millennium Stadium.

Absolutely no refunds. That was the risk of getting the tickets. Everyone knew what was on the table. It’s gutting, but everyone knew the score before they purchased.I agree that the match is pointless from a football point of view and I’m 50-50 whether I’m going to go, but asking/expecting a refund/free entry to another game would be ‘hurting’ the wrong people IMO.
I was there too, top of the double decker, can still remember one move by Best, a sort of shimmy right then left, which took the breath away.I was at this game ,
Remember little about the game , the chance to see the one and only George Best was not to be missed .
Queued from 1pm to get into the North Bank
Memories of seeing the great man stays forever.
i was there rees scoring the winner
When I was a regular at Celtic Park I used to meet up with a load of lads from Belfast in Bar67 up the Barras. Great bunch of lads, but you'd rather them with you than against you.I went that one. Chaos in Cardiff
I’ve been to NI many times with work. It’s a cracking place. When I was a regular at Celtic Park I used to meet up with a load of lads from Belfast in Bar67 up the Barras. Great bunch of lads, but you'd rather them with you than against you.
