Sam Parker

Don't know what the plan was to protect Parker yesterday, but he was left terribly exposed in the first 25 minutes. You had an experienced full back(Tymon)on the other side protected by Eom and this poor guy left totally isolated. Awful management.
Was very strange for sure.

I'll split the difference between you and Daps. I agree with you that he should be starting the rest of the season, with Ward on the bench as cover until Key is back. If Sam struggles, then bring Key back in.

In the summer, it all depends on whether we sign anyone in that position. If not, I'm sure Matos will be looking at Parker, Key and Lissah in pre-season and deciding on the pecking order. If Key is third on his list after that (which I doubt he will be), then he should be sold. If Parker or Lissah are third on his list, then they should be loaned out for regular football somewhere. Although the caveat to that would be if it's Lissah who is third on his list, but he also thinks he could compete at centre-back, in which case he stays.

All in all, right-back is way down my personal list of priority positions for signings this summer.
Lissah position is centre back, who happens to be more than decent at RB as well.

There’s no way we should be in the market for a new RB this summer, Key on form is more than good enough, and we have Parker who is an able deputy, with Lissah also being an option.

Parker more than held his own when he got into the game and had support from Ronald. He will only get better with game time and experience IMO.

Looked as if Cullen was right side of midfield or right wing .
We were caught short on the right side with their left winger & left back overloading
Sam Parker .
Cullen drifted inside Parker played narrow , they exposed us so many times it was a hard watch .
What was a surprise this problem was rectified until Ronald came on .
You would expect players could see this and make the adjustments .

Cullen did win the penalty for me he could have been substituted .

Can't comment on Cullen’s performance, didn't see the game.

Do we know if Cullen was given specific instructions my the manager or are you assuming, again.
I think that clears it up then, you were not there.
If you were then you would have clearly seen what was happening with Cullen and it was clearly instructed for him to sit in centrally when required.

Not really, it's ok to question the source, especially when the source is constantly unreliable and has a habit of throwing people under the bus.

If you care to read other posts by other users, you will see a pattern with fans who were there yesterday and Parker was being left isolated due to Cullen stepping in to try and congest the central midfield.

Aye, a lot are from the usual suspects.

Let's be honest for a minute. Anything the club does, you throw shade on it, look for fault and try to manufacture criticism.

The Mangan thread you started yesterday is a prime example of you getting your wooden spoon out.

Thats why you can't be taken with any credibility, there's always a motive with you and it's generally centered around your need to be taken seriously.

I'm leaving it at that, I've engaged more than intended.

What!?!

I posted about Mangan because it's related to the club! What did I do that was so wrong in that post?

That is a very strange post from you indeed. I think the issue is more about yourself taking things the wrong way and being offended by peoples opinions if you don't agree with them.

I'm quite positive regards the owners and what they are trying to do, it's not to say I can't express my feelings or opinions if I feel something isn't right(wrongly or rightly).

I've made my feeling clear, this conversation is redundant.

People are getting ahead of their station again here aren’t they?
The likes of Lissah and Parker are already being labelled by some as the future of the club, how the fuck they know that is baffling, they might well take the championship apart next season and on the other hand they might not and nobody knows that until they have a run of games.
Oh and Parker was ok yesterday, nothing special and nothing bad, just ok.

There seems to be a little group who are getting their knickers in the twist with people's views and opinions and seeing it as people having a pop.

I agree, Parker turned his poor start around and fans gave him support when he got subbed but he is still a way off a first team challenger. The lad wasn't helped out by the set up but things will have been learned from it and will help us long term.

It's a dangerous game if we are trying to shut down views and opinions because they don't suit.

As I said in the match day post yesterday, we would have lost that game a few years back........that positivity or praise is lost with some.
