• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Oh dear. This is genuinely astonishing. The civil service’s default setting is usually to tell anyone and everyone so if it goes tits up there’s always someone else to point at. As I understand it as an outsider of course…
Does offering evidence-based advice, operating under principles of impartiality, anonymity, and permanence ring a bell? Something strange is afoot

He survives because our entire political system is bent beyond parody and will only be taken back by civil force and all the internecine horrors that ensues from that..

You can't imagine it happening here in leafy YouKay but it will....Some politico wag once said "Revolution seems impossible until it becomes inevitable"

Numerous case studies from 1850 onwards in Europe can be used as examples...

Britain is currently economically and socially f**ked...and it will get worse.

Sleep tight for now Cygnets.....Winter is coming...buckle up and purchase a helmet.

How could he not know?
Did he get a report on the vetting process? If not why not? If he did, did he read it? If he didn't get a report why didn't he ask for it before confirming Mandy's appointment?
I really wanted him to succeed but he's a decent man doing a terrible job in role that he's not cut out for.

He's not a decent man... he's a WEF stooge.

He has continually acted against the will of the British people his whole career.

He's a disaster of a PM but sadly there is nobody worthy to replace him.

Career politicians with no convictions other than their own interests has been a thing since 1997 in earnest...

Mandelson’s appointment was confirmed and announced before the vetting process was completed. That’s pretty normal. Appointments are made subject to successful vetting. The issue here is that after the appointment, nobody at either the Cabinet Office or the FCDO thought it was appropriate to tell the PM (or, apparently, any other minister) that the UK’s ambassador to the USA didn’t pass a time consuming but fairly innocuous vetting process.

There’s been at least two worse than him in the last 5 years.
Well he's the currently leader and he's proper Turkey giblets an all.

He's let me down cause I backed him when he became leader, but I soon changed my mind after his feeble attempts to shout down the Torys and I rapidly changed my mind and that's why I never voted in the last GM, then again I don't think I voted in the one before that.

How has he let you down if you never voted for him?

No need, I read it okay the first time.
You couldn't have, Otherwise you wouldn't have replied with this, "How has he let you down if you never voted for him?"
Anyway I'm voting in May and it will be for Darren Millar, the only candidate that talks with any sense.

You can’t vote for Darren Miller. You’ll be voting for the Conservative Party.

Well he's the only one that appeals to me, for the reason I mentioned whether he carries out what he says in the unlikely event of him getting in is another matter.
No chance of me voting for any of the others, none at all.
