Well a good game, but still think we should have had a pen and the ref giving other poor decisions.

In saying that they were a better team and the win was coming for them, more the fact we dropped with some players out on their feet.
%0/50 were won by them as being physically stronger, but we got suckered into it instead of playing the ball better.
Overall we lost to a team on a massive run of good results.
We gave it a go but still the failings were there to be seen, but putting bias to one side we played to our best which against most teams would have got 3 points

Nunes has been a liability since coming on, gives the ball away every time he gets it (I'm writing this hoping he immediately scores)
Awful wasn’t he. A surprising set of subs today. Widell and Stamenic were our best players so should never have gone off that early. Cullen should never have started and I’m not sure why we keep wasting a sub spot taking Parker off when Ward offers less.

I’m proud of the lads today. Most had a real good go against the form team in the league. But Matos made it harder for them than it needed to be.

Matos bit handcuffed at moment. Ronald isn't performing. And Matos was visibily annoyed at Nunes for a few decisions. Yalcouye did well. But we all know it. Need to refresh our wing players. At least Eom played well. Unfortunately didn't get the pen

knackered, off their feet, franco was worn out, 2 games as well in a few days.
just shows how weak our pool of players are. they were the better side , we should learn from that game and get the players Matos wants.
even if it includes a cple of Cds

Flew in for today's game... Jetlag did not help at all today.

The ref and the linesman were absolutely abysmal!

Downes should have had a red card.
Yes, Eom was fouled in the box.
Southampton did not deserve that win as a result off the above!
The Swans were robbed.

However, whatever chances were did have we didn't take. Still too much sideways and back passing which irritated need to no end.

The substitutions were, largely, non-sensical. Nunes on... ? Why?

Come next season the players must be drilled better to take shots when available and to stop allowing down when they have the wind in their sails!

I need a rest. Absolute frustration!

Just back.
Thought we did ok overall and once again we have another ref who clearly favoured the opposition.
He bottled the pen, looked a stonewaller being at the game.
Couldn't make out the incident with Flynn Downes in the 1st half but thought a red might have come out for what I saw.

Nunes was terrible when he came on.

Special praise for Parker 👏

Frustrating ending. Thought that we did just about enough to deserve a draw when considering the run they’re on and relative positions in the league.

Not too hopeful next Saturday as our record in Norfolk is so poor but hopefully we can get 4/6 points from the other 2 games.

Based on the last few years we need to sort out loan recruitment out. If they’re not coming in to improve the 1st XI I see no point in blocking a pathway for youngsters (18-21 in a lot of cases) that we own. The only way we find out of Parker, Lissah, Congreve etc are good enough is by exposing them to semi-regular 1st team football.

Nunes didn't make one telling attacking contribution, instead he gave the ball away under zero pressure on multiple occasions. He tried a nutmeg on the edge of our own 18 yard box which we were fortunate to get away with and it was his wayward ball into the middle instead of clearing it up the line that led to their winning goal

The player who dribbled and attacked at pace when he first got here has completely disappeared to be replaced like someone who wouldn't know what a football was if it smacked him on the arse

Yalcouye done ok, but twice he was through with acres of space in front of him, stopped and played it backwards. Good players hurt other teams in that position, that's the negativity in our attacking play.

An word of praise for Sam Parker.

He's never impressed me all that much when he's come off the bench to play as a winger, but based on what we saw today and in recent games he's got the makings of a very capable right back.

To be fair to him, on one occasion it was because he'd won the ball back and had around 5 Southampton players closer to him than any of ours. Given it was 1-1 at the time, it was probably the right decision to slow play down and keep the ball.

Stamenic ran the show today was a joy to watch it tbh and deserved the half a lap of honour when going off 😅 Eom again first half was untouchable, its as if when the sun comes out in spring his performances improve.
On the down side the CBs are a car crash waiting to happen, ive stuck up for Burgess but the first half from him was appalling!

Overall not disheartened at all, some really encouraging displays on show 👌
