What are Reform policies

If I were Iorwerth I’d go with a minority government and dare Labour to vote with Reform and the Tories in the chamber. That goes for the two green and the one LibDem too.

I’m sort of finally starting to get it. So it’s incumbent on Labour to stop the nonsense completely (have got better) and focus solidly on a blue Labour approach

How on earth you can reach that conclusion is beyond me.

Starmer has been flag shagging ever since he came into power, in a pretty pathetic attempt to try and woo back Reform voters. He's had Mahmood basically photocopying Farage's immigration policies and reading them out in parliament.

And it has failed dismally.

I rather think what he needs to do is tilt the other way.

I can't see Darren Millar siding with Reform, he'll go down in my estimation if he does, I just don't see him doing that, well I hope he doesn't, he'll lose my support if he does that's for sure.

Same here, my best of 30 odd years has been brainwashed by these right wing clowns.

Apparently everything I see on the TV or read online is wrong yet everything he watches or reads is 100% correct.

It's reached a point where the majority of us who have been friends since kids have to take a break from him for months on end.

Got a mate exactly the same.

Only reason I persist is because I know he's got a heart of gold - always the first one to text or call you in a crisis, generous to a fault, looks after the people he cares about in his life.

But talks utter shite and has been completely taken in in the same way you've alluded to.

Sad innit.

The rise of Reform is a worry, I didn't expect them to do as well as they have and countrywide
Yes, we have dodged a bullet here in Wales, but as for the next General Election, a quick check at oddschecker and they are clear favs. Plus with the amount of Senedd Members, hmm it could be a rough ride.

Immigration is tumbling.

What your post exemplifies is the culture of things getting better yesterday.

These things take time to work through. Even with the biased media if the numbers continue to drop considerably in relation to small boats and overall immigration that will be noted.

My point is wider though. They need to stop the social liberalism go hard on issues like shoplifting.

“Our streets are crime/drug riddled.. there’s going to be zero tolerance…”

For me getting tough on low level will have massive impacts politically.

The point I’m making is that it is incumbent on a party like Labour to start taking more of a lead on issues that blight the streets of working class areas. The migration thing is an issue in many areas, for too long it was ignored.

I remember banging on about it years ago on jackarmy dot net. In those days we were still in the “you’re being racist” classic spiel when my views were routed in views that haven’t really shifted it’s just that now my views would be considered moderate because the pace or opinion has got right over the the far right.

It’s a sort of new Labour style big tent approach but with an old Labour underpinning which would suit this current Labour Party.

I’m personally pretty liberal on most social issues but I’ve noticed just like in the states the pace of change has been dramatic and yes something is being lost. I get the anger to an extent it’s just so misdirected.

I'll sum up the deform party for you. Watching BBC Wales news the report interviewed a new deform MS, when she said what was the reasons for their success the first thing the c*** said was immigration and what they will do, that's it end of they are the new nazi party, so fuck them and fuck you/anyone who voted for them

It’s going to come as a shock to her that the Welsh Assembly has no control over immigration.

Haha no it won’t.

They of course know this. But the trick is fooling people into believing that their vote will count on this area.

The key issue facing the valleys, Conwy etc - small boats!!!

It is actually quite depressing

I'd wager a sizeable amount that several Reform councillors absolutely do not know this. Because most of them are as thick as mince.

There'll be a few reformer patriots hanging over the end of Roker Pier today, trying to spot the boats with their binos.

Well my old mate stood for for reform and got soundly spanked. he'd be a good councillor too, in general terms, if he wasn't a radicalised by twitter cult nutter.

People seem to change parties pretty often these days but even I was surprised how many of the newly elected Reform members are former conservative politicians/candidates. It’s harder to click on one that wasn’t on the Wiki page 🤣

I’d be interested to hear what their Damascus moment was!
