    Lawrence Vigouroux ...

I'd put him on a par with DeVries. Decent on the floor, good shot stopper, reasonably capable under the high ball, although occasionally questionable as he was for one of Oxford's goals. Like DeVries I think we'd have to look for better if we got promoted (i think we'd have replaced him even if...

    Modric - The Athletic Article

Wouldn't be the first time we've played a pre-season game against Real Madrid if my faded memories of reading the David Farmer book are reliable.

    Summer Transfer Window

I suspect much of our business this Summer will be to just replace what leaves rather than adding depth, ideally with higher quality. If we take it as read that Myk and Yates will leave and that Cullen shouldn't play up top on his own then we will need another striker, which might be Wales...

I'm not sure if they've got any breathing space to cut costs but they're already spending well above it and I can't see teams queuing up to take Calum Chambers off their hands, nor him rushing to leave if he is on what is claimed.

UA wouldn't gain anything from it other than publicity. They wouldn't benefit from Wrexham being promoted or increasing in value as a result. I think it's to stop club owners dodging FFP by subsidising their teams artificially and calling it sponsorship. Like say if a business that the Saudi...

I'd assume that they're looking for connections. If Wrexham were heavily sponsored by say, Aviation Gin then that's one thing. United Airlines as far as I'm aware don't have shares in Wrexham so it's a hell of a lot harder to prove that it's more than a purely commercial deal.

It's basically the Chelsea method. Spread the cost of the signings over a longer contract period. Hence the five year deal for Inoussa. Smart for PSR purposes, risky in that you'll end up carrying a lot of debt on the books, and have a player who might not work out on a long contract.

I am encouraged by the references to us having also gone out and seen these players play. Data analysis is one thing, but it can never replace seeing them in action. Preferably a few times.

Hopefully Widell is the box to box driving midfielder with 5-10 goals in him that we had in Ntcham if only Russy hadn't mostly stuck him out wide.

Yep. He was valuable primarily because of what he did and how much more effective it was than what we'd put up with years of Grimes doing rather than just who he is. If we can get him back on terms that suit us then great. If not then Dimi fires up Football Manager and finds someone else.

Just.....wow. Sign for the Swans, get a free chat with one of the most decorated footballers in European History.

    Bobby Wales To Sign

Most reports suggest that he's not an out and out central striker, but more of a "forward" in that he often drifts wide and cuts in from there. Maybe we're looking at playing a 4-3-3 more often?

Ronnie needs to learn to stay on his feet a bit more for me. I think he's done reasonably well this season considering he spent seven months of it effectively being coached not to attack. Still room to improve though.

    Fulton

The biggest problem he's had for the past four years is that he and Grimes were too similar to effectively play together, yet when they did and we were invariably shite only one of them got blamed for it by supporters. He's still basically the same player he always has been. A dependable...
