• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Blackbird Leys is nowhere near as bad as some of our housing estates in Swansea. In fact, as an ex Penlan pupil, I would say it's positively posh!

    BLAZE RIP

I very rarely post on any of the forums but do read them often. I'm absolutely shocked to read the news. I saw a post on X by you Darran, but didn't realise who it was about. As others have said, I didn't meet Blaze but enjoyed some of his stories about his away trips on the old J.A. When you...

From Beacon to Bystander: The Rise and Decline of the Swansea City Supporters’ Trust

Spot on Phil, I resigned my membership when they reneged on the civil case. I haven't re-joined and don't ever see a time when I would.

What a player, thrown into the first team in 1981 as a boy and came out a man. R.i.p.

Sat in my seat in the West today when two ladies were helping an older gentleman down the steps to the front row. The gent was very unsteady on his feet and it took some time. I was going to offer to help when one of the stewards came and assisted. It was only at half time when I saw Nigel...

    Jamie Paterson

I don't know what is up with him, mental health, or recovery from injury but the least I expect from a Swansea City player is interest and effort. Both were lacking today. He just drifted around the park contributing nothing to the team. Rightfully hooked just after half time. Whatever the...
