I know where you're coming from.

If they don't announce him before the Oxford game, I think the job is going elsewhere.
you could be correct, but in all honesty Mr Sheehan deserves his chance and for me the financial position the club is in what boxes does Alan not tick in a positive way?
We are being told there may be disagreement at board level and after all it is their cash that is currently being lost and they have put people in positions to advise them ( the board) on football matters so lets see how it plays out , but for me the job Mr Sheehan has/ is doing we could have a future top manager at our club and i for one would give him the job if agreements can be made, BUT its not my cash
Best of luck saturday to everyone another very hard game if we can get something there i do not know what else has to be done for him to secure the top job

Surely the best examples will be the players in regards to how they view Sheehan? I'm sure the board will be having positive feedback from the players through Cabango about them wanting him to have it full time, not offering him the job and appointing someone else after the form we’re in could disrupt us I think going into the pre season.

I'm happy I don't have to make this decision. Although I was wary about Sheehan's success being down to the 'new manager bounce', we have surely passed that point now and we're still winning.

Some of the people making this decision have presumably been around for our last 3 permanent manager appointments. Those 3 had differing flaws, but the main issue they shared was none of them won enough games. So far, that has not been a problem for Sheehan.

I'm hoping they announce his appointment on the pitch before the Oxford game, but I'm not confident that will happen.

I will also admire Sheehan's stones if it's him that declines the job as he doesn't think the owners will back him the way he wants.

There's the nail in the Sheezy Quorum coffin right there. BOOM....

Expecting uber successful, ambitious businessmen to settle for 'Steady hand' when chasing their lavishly funded ambition is beyond bonkers.

Some of our fans need to get some proper perspective and imagine what it must be like to be ambitious, driven and successful - 'Steady hand' ain't in their nomenclature.

They need to implement Plan A - and appoint the very best man that gives us the very best chance of delivering the Vision with our unique, leading edge Swansea Edge.

Jeez, Sheez isn't a Plan A or B. He's Plan C as per his tenure with us, alone.

.
Fair play, you sure know how to post some wholesale shite.

Sheehan has certainly resorted the feel good factor for both players and supporters.

Those in charge have a huge decisions on their hands, that's for sure.

Some small highlights of Hammarby and a tactical video of Kim Hellberg style with his previous team.
It should be considered when watching those clips that they probably have better players who are able to play like that. I’ve no idea if they are mind, as I’m not an expert on Swedish football, as seems a lot of our fans suddenly are.

Who does our Swede currently play for?

Aab in Denmark. Just had a look and they narrowly avoided relegation.

Aalborg BK (Danish Superliga)

They finished 9th out of 12 and have not been doing well in the playoffs so far. Their form has tailed off sharply and they are in a really bad run of form at the moment with just one win in their last eleven

It's a no-brainer to appoint Sheehan imo.

If it doesn't work out then they just sack him at some stage next season with hardly any finger pointing because the vast majority of fans would have done the same thing.

Appoint someone else, Sheehan goes elsewhere and does a great job and when the alternative bloke doesn't do very well then there'll be loads of flak.

So I have a mate in the media.
He's told me Sheehan has been pulled from the presser today - will just be Vigouroux.
Sheehan will face the media tomorrow instead.
Suggests some sort of announcement is imminent...
Thanks for the update, strange one as they usually leave Friday mornings before the game.

Unless they really want Mr Swede or someone else, in which case they do need to back themselves now while it's on the table. Risky for sure, as you say. It's their money though. I'm sure they'd ride out an(other) error without too much sweat. I see it as win-win now rather than win-lose. 'We knew what Alan could do, we wanted better for our future plans and took our chances' or 'We know what Alan can do and it fits in with our future plans'. Either is entirely defendable whether it goes right or wrong.

What I don't like is the inane bollocks that new DoF is spouting (can't even remember his name offhand). Another Martin clone bullshit merchant not adapting to his resources really would be disastrous.

What worries me is we've had a period of watching enjoyable football, I've certainly got my love for the club back.

The worry is we go back to another Martin/Williams clone in search of the "Swansea Way".

When in fact the "Swansea Way" is not what is served up on the pitch as such. It's what happens in the dressing room and in the stands, it is an actual togetherness as a club.
