Ollie McBurnie

Would be perfect in this system and will add some much neeeded leadership and grit further up the pitch. Yes please
To be fair I've thought about it, remembered the alternative is probably Vippo, Culls and, if we can't get shot Jenny/Mik. So I'm becoming a yes, as long as he's calmed down.

Yea but imagine being lumbered with all those plus another highly paid striker who's scored an average of 4 goals a season over the 6 since he's left us?

But I like the guy. It's like the relationship with my ex. I didn't want her. But I don't want anyone else I know or don't like to have her either.

Plus having someone in the dressing room who loves the club and the supporters as much as he does has got to be an advantage. That was one of our USPs in the Prem - having so many squad members who were genuinely happy to belong. It’s why I wasn’t sorry when Sinclair moved on. The rot accelerated when we started selling players who probably wouldn’t have chosen to go otherwise.
He would need to have calmed down, and it would be a gamble given his relative lack of goals. I’d still do it though.

Do we really want him back, with that record and with the baggage he brings with it?
On McBurnie bringing ‘baggage’, are off-field issues in his past (never with us) really more toxic than players like Pato only turning up for a new contract, Whittaker refusing to play, or Gylfi refusing to get on the plane?

My point is, even at the height of his form, McBurnie was always a loyal soldier, and caused no issues in our dressing room. After leaving us, he attended games and showed his support - his heart is in this club.

He’s stated that he’s looking to settle down with his family and seems to have matured. I think it’s time to bring him home.

With his brother dealing with serious health issues if he hasn't calmed down now he never will. My guess is he will be just fine. His ability in the air could make him a perfect match. Last season only Coventry out more crosses in the box, shame we didn't have the players to capitalize. McBurnie could be that man.

For me, McBurnie is often mischaracterised as a target man, think that’s why he never quite got on with SU’s style of play. If we continue to play like we did at the end of the season, he would definitely fit the high pressing profile that we’d need. He’d get on the end of some of the crosses that Vip was late for too (I like Vipotnik btw). If he’s sorted himself out then could do well for us.

FFS guys he is coming from La Liga to the championship. Also we know for ceratain that he will work his arse off in the press and link play from our midfield - allowing runners to get beyond him. He is also decent in the air and a good finisher who loves our club and is in his prime.
So apart from all that what have the Romans ever done for us?

The only town in Wales founded by the Romans, Caerwent, is in South Wales.

I'm still in the No camp

No from me, I'd rather we looked for fresh young talent than being lazy and signing a former player...bony,Allen ect.
