O Dowda didn't fancy league 1 either then
Cos they are claiming that Salah would have kept them upSeems Sky sport said the bid from Bales group was only 20m
One thing I do not understand. Emiliano Salah Court case late September.
The transfer fee was around 15m but Cardiff are seeking to get 100m in damages and seem confident of getting that in Sept.
How the hell do you get awarded 100m for a 15m investment??? Which insurance has probably already paid out on
Thats a hell of a stretch. 1 player in a team of 11. What the hell. Seems like they are going to win. Hope they dont just because I thinks its way off to get 100m compo for that situation, not because they are CardiffCos they are claiming that Salah would have kept them up
Of course it is, to call it speculative at best is being generousThats a hell of a stretch. 1 player in a team of 11. What the hell. Seems like they are going to win. Hope they dont just because I thinks its way off to get 100m compo for that situation, not because they are Cardiff
Absolute lunacy. The bloke scored 1 in 3 for a French side, why would he equal or better that for the worst side in the better league at the time? No way of proving it and thus total bollocksCos they are claiming that Salah would have kept them up
Why do you think that they’re going to win?Thats a hell of a stretch. 1 player in a team of 11. What the hell. Seems like they are going to win. Hope they dont just because I thinks its way off to get 100m compo for that situation, not because they are Cardiff
Just reading news stories on different news sites. I hope they dont and not because they are CaridffWhy do you think that they’re going to win?
Everything that Cardiff have done regarding the whole Salah fiasco has been of the lowest possible moral fiber.
From the very instant the accident happened, the way they dragged him, his agent, his former club and everyone but themselves through the mud and tried every possible legal loophole they could come up with not to pay completely obliterated any good will or sympathy towards the club that I (or most others too if I am being honest) might have had.
It would be terrible for those employed by the club but I hope with every part of my being that they lose in September, are forced to pay out tens of millions in damages and legal fees and go under to be replaced by a new institution somewhere in the 8th tier of footballing obscurity.
Without an alternate reality where he had not died in that air crash it is impossible to prove he would have kept them up. His scoring record (roughly 1 in 3) for Nantes before he died even if he had maintained that record in the PL would have meant 6 perhaps 7 goals. Nowhere near what would have been needed to keep them up especially when you consider the number of chances they created on a per game basis and the number of expected goals vs actual goals scored.I don’t think there’s any way of proving that had he not died they would have survived in the Premier League - they would have still gone done if they had signed Salah and not Sala
As I see it, they can’t possibly get arbitrary, no, imaginary, consequential losses when he’d never played a PL game.
Unless the law is different in France. Or they can prove that Nantes knew, or should have known, the pilot was dodgy. If not theyll lose and lose hard.
Any lawyers on here? Better still French ones…I realise that’s a long shot…
