Wilson and Lloyd are both highly rated within the club I can't see them releasing both

With both Wilson and Lloyd under contract a trial before signing is perhaps one way a prospective loan club can sort out the wheat from the chaff of so many players out of contract in the close season.

Making your u21s debut and suffering an ACL is rough, but he pulled through and returned in the final u18s game of last season. Hopefully he can kick on and progress

Very good signings for them if true, LOB to Wrexham makes sense if they all want to stay near Huddersfield with a newborn and family there.

We could do with a proper 6 coming in, so LOB not signing isn’t the end of the world. Sad to see him go to a Welsh club that isn’t us though.

Reading that we are sending players out like Lloyd and Wilson on trial, got me thinking when was the last time we took any trialists on and who was the last trialist we signed!?

We are out in Spain, surely it's an opportunity to take a look at some Spanish based free agents to try and bolster up the squad that would ultimately be available for modest weekly wages.

We had a trialist last season he played in the friendly down the stadium and he looked very decent, but we didn’t sign him, he also had one with Oxford can’t remember his name.

Ruben Providence, he ended up playing in the Dutch second division and his club finished bottom of the league

Totally forgot about Providence, it was desperate times 12 months ago.....goes to show how better it's been this year.

I would like to see us use this route during pre season, I still feel that we could be taking a gamble on 1 or 2 free agents....it's worked over the years. I think we need to shave off some wages in certain areas and it's a good opportunity to see the player play and how he interacts with the squad.

Maybe it's a bit old fashioned and not the way these days.
