Widell

I'm struggling to see what type of midfielder he is so far.
He's young, raw as said and seems to be losing the ball quite a bit. I think he might be one that needs time to adapt like Eom as WTSW says.

I like him, but he thrives off of a high tempo game.

He isn't the kind of player to beat a man from a standing start with a sudden burst of pace, instead he is the kind of player who uses clever one touch layoffs when players are moving around him. The more moving parts there are the better the performance we will see out of him, when the football is turgid and walking pace like today he will try to force things but only a small fraction of those (if any) will succeed because too many of his team mates will be on their heels.

I think at the moment, he seems to be playing or receiving the ball with his back to the opposition goal when he would be more pro active whilst facing it.
I think he certainly needs more time and needs to be given that time.

Still early days I do like how positive he tries to be on the ball and his effort, I think he will become better once he’s more accustomed to the league.

Didn't have a great match tonight, but give him time. He has does well when coming on as a sub. It's clear he is getting up to speed with how fast everything is played in this country. As others say he is going through his Eom stage when he first joined.

Really do not understand, the logic or sense in knocking, players, sure we all believe we know everything about the game, but it seems uncalled for to me, Melker Widdell is in a new country, and needs time to settle, last Saturday in his cameo he played very well. Any criticism is unfair, he needs 8 to 10 games to be settled.
