Its the speed and consistency with which he falls out with his players that has always astounded me. At least two at Rangers already.

I never fully bought into the idea that his problems with Pato, Obafemi and Whittaker were entirely down to the players. Partially maybe. Perhaps mostly in Oba's case, but when it happens as often as it does with him then you have to consider the possibility that the one consistent factor is him.
It's not so much the falling out with players is the problem, more his need to go public with it pretty much every time. He appears to have not heard of the concept of keeping things in-house.

I'd wager it's because he thinks by doing it he can deflect attention from himself onto players, and in doing so thinks he can con the fans into thinking they're the problem and not him.

It can work for a short time - it did down here for a bit - but eventually people wake up to what's really going on.

Imagine he spawns a lucky 1-0 win - I bet he’ll be over to fist pump with the fans
It won’t be him. The players and fans will be up for it and not play his shit way. We saw the players triple their intensity for our doube doube and play at a much faster pace. I expect Rangers to do the same, and I expect him to take all the credit if they manage to win.

Then again enough of them might hate him enough to down tools, but I think home advantage will get them to play better.

If I get the chance in La belle France, I’d be fascinated to watch some of this. The tension will be something else.
