You have to start VP when he comes back. Idah imagine will come on around 60 minutes. Its nice to actually debate about who plays and who doesn't. With strikers and not the Cullen issue. Unless VP has a massive drop off, where does Cullen come into the game? He has been used as first choice striker or replacement for VP. Minutes might end up being limited for Cullen now. No complaints here.

Cullen doesn't get anywhere near starting upfront, ever, unless Sheehan has gone clinically insane or both Idah and Vipotnik are injured.

Vip has possession at the moment so you'd think that he'll start against Hull.

First of all, Sheehan obviously sees something in Cullen otherwise he’d have been out the door along with the others. (Same with Fulton.) So I don’t expect him to start in the lone striker role while Vipotnik is on a roll, but I would not be surprised to see him on the bench and getting game time. Which will give the Sheehan doubters something to talk about.

And secondly, he’ll probably get a brace in his next game. Reading back over this thread, Vipotnik was a complete dud who needed binning asap. Now he’s the Second Coming. I’m starting to think that Sheehan knows more about his players than I do. Who knew?

You still don’t sound convinced

I wonder how much the player position within the squad plays a part. An unsatisfied infulantial player can cause unrest in the dressing room - in case Cullon is one.

Could it be that the higher quality of midfield player brought in this summer is making Vip look like a better player. Even though Ronald has been here a tad longer the pass from Vip to set Ronald up for the second goal at Wednesday was something not seen last season.

Hull are a bit maverick and open so could be end to end. However, if they sit deep i would play both Vip and Idah together

By Cullen, Vipotnik or Sheehan? 🤔

I hope all three will smash it out of the park this season. Cullen is currently the furthest from demonstrating he can do it. Vipotnik’s four- goal streak is promising, but it would be rash to conclude that he’s the new Haaland on the strength of four games. And Sheehan is still learning his trade - we shouldn’t put too much pressure on him by having excessively high expectations this early in his stint as manager.
