Both much of a muchness for me.

The bigger question is which central midfielder do we sacrifice to make room for a creative one.

I’d be tempted to put Galbraith into RB, opening up another slot in midfield for us a more creative (Eom/Widell/Cullen) potentially.

Nah.

Like it or not, Six into three won't go and we can't force it to a bit by making our standout midfielder so far play in another position. It's one deep lying midfielder (Stamenic, Franco or Yalcouye), one box to box (Galbraith, also maybe Franco and Yalcouye) and an AM. We don't have a proven one of those (certainly not Cullen) so we have to try something else like an Eom or Widell.

But that's the point , he's not trying an Eom or a Widell , and doesn't look like he's got any intention of playing one of them there. Sometimes a gamble on playing one of them there could pay huge dividends, and if it doesn't come off after a few games what have you lost.

We have overstocked the DM and CM positions and not done much to enhance our AM position, which is what I thought Widdell was here to do.

I watched him once, and looked up his positions, he's a CM.. he's played AM about 8 times in his career.. People have never watched our new boys much, come on.. Who has watched the Austrian, Swedish and Greek leagues, they're making it up as they post

Would definitely like to see either Cullen or Widell start at 10 in the home games. Personally with Blackburn struggling I’d definitely try it on Tuesday as well.

However, with the current set up I wouldn’t say we’re overstocked - it’s 3 from 4 (with the 4th likely to come on every game). We’re 1 injury away from Fulton being the 1st reserve if Sheehan continues with the current formation.

Franco will play on Tuesday. Stamenic is my first choice. Wasn't great today but he brings the physical presence and passing. Franco for me needs to work on his strength (physical side) to many teams over power him. Still big fan other than that

This league is relentless, having 4 top CM’s when you play 4-3-3 is certainly not being overstocked. It just means you have quality. Widell settling quicker would be nice though to give us the attacking option, but we will need to be patient.
