I still haven't seen enough of him to put my finger on what type of midfielder he is. He does seem to have a good awareness although does lose the ball on times.....he has shown glimpses of a good touch and a bit of bite in him.

He's played more in the pressing 2 when used with us and has been pushed out wide after a substation a couple of times.

He is young and in a new country so he does deserve a bit of slack in that regards.

Yes to some extent. We don't know the deal, what's happening behind scenes. It's been reported that he needs to get up to speed on things. We just have to trust Sheehan and his staff is doing the right thing. Only time will tell

I like Cullen mainly because he's one of our own. The challenge is he's often hit and miss.

More miss than hit. Barring that six week spell up until Boxing Day last year he has mostly flattered to deceive.

You could probably make a case that he's a player slightly out of his time. 20 years ago he'd have been a reasonable strike partner for a big strong centre forward. He does have a knack for appearing on the end of things. The problem is that's basically all he can do.

He's not strong or technically good enough to lead the line on his own, and he's certainly not creative enough to play as a #10. There's not really a place for him in the first team playing like we do. Great if we suddenly decide to start playing 442, otherwise of limited use.

Again I liked Ollie Cooper, but it's been obvious now for a good 2-3 years that he's not got the skillset we need him to have. Pops up with the odd goal, decent work rate. Not much else.

I haven't mentioned Cullen, I'm talking about Widell and Yalcouye. Do you think we have seen anything resembling the best of either?
