thats hell of a journey mind, I always used to deflate when coming back from Newquay and seeing the sign Exeter 100 miles!

I think the NL should be regionalised. I would combine the NL and both NL north and south and have three leagues below the EFL having league structure of a north central and south feeding into a promotion to the EFL.

Knowing our luck if we were in the same league our away fixture would be on a Tuesday evening.

Truro is a lovely part of the world.

Does seem a crazy amount of travelling, even if the NL is all full time these days.

Personally I’d even go a league higher and make League 2 and the National League a Tier 4 North & South with 2 promotion places each into League 1.

There’d be an issue with finances if you’re increasing the size of the EFL but you’d imagine attendances (away especially) would increase with more local matches.

In terms of quality I don’t think there’s much difference between the two league, crowds are generally on a par (barring a handful of clubs either way) with so many ex league clubs in the National League (and below) so I don’t think you’re diluting anything there.

Competitive wise there’s the slight issue if all 4 relegated teams are from the North/South for the next season but that’s the case wherever the pyramid becomes regionalised.

Swansea City 🦢 v Norwich 🐄
