How I see it

While sitting at the game, it was patently obvious straight from the kick off that we were starting camped in our own half, like some league 2 side who were drawn away to Man City in the cup. It was our home game! It took me back to Carvalhal after virtually saving us in the Premier, then decided that the right thing to do was to play for a few draws to be safe. Of course we lost, and were doomed. If truth be known, I've been surprised to see that same trait in Sheehan. It's the coward's way. Play to draw and hopefully sneak a win. All the regulars who sit around me, and indeed myself, get so exasperated that we pass the ball backwards more than forwards, but it's also exasperating when the manager doesn't get annoyed with that whilst on the touchline. As for the after match press comments, I genuinely can't face them anymore. It's extremely clear that Sheehan doesn't, or can't see, what we see. Now that really worries me.

That's strange part. Sheehan keeps banging on about being more attacking, but he keeps setting up like we are going against a top team every week and playing it safe. Clearly he is worried to concede, but what comes from that is the negative mindset. I'm sure O Dea has strong influence on this. But putting him aside Sheehan should see that it's not right. What is clear from all of this is, Sheehan had nothing to lose when he was Interim. People forget how low in confidence we was under Williams. And Sheehan who had a good repor with the team picked them up. That lasted only so long. It's like my best mate coming into a business and cheering me up for a few weeks, to get my moral up. Then he becomes my boss and now that I'm happy again, we need more than just a arm around the shoulder. We need someone who knows what they are doing. And this is where Sheehan has failed and shown his lack of experience.

I think one of the big issues supporters have with Sheehan is everything is so predictable

I can almost guarantee most games regardless of score we’ll see subs come on at 60 minutes. We are seeing the same patterns of play week in week out and when it’s not working, even I know what Sheehan is going to do to try and change things

I thought yesterday we were crying out for Yalcouye to come on and provide some energy in the middle. Instead we bring on Cullen & Ronald which we always seem to revert to

It is shame. I can't get the feel good factor out of my mind from the end of last season.

Does take a huge amount of guts to approach a large group of people calling for your head.

I have to agree. I've never booed the team, or the manager, in my 61 years of supporting, and I never will. Now the owners, that's a different matter.

What I'm seeing is not just the last game,
We have some good/decent players but we don't have a good/decent team.
That has to be down to 1 man and his staff.
We haven't been a good team to watch other than the odd occasion for a number of seasons now.
There is no sign that is going to change anytime soon.

There've been a few games this season where we've looked great when playing a bit more dynamically with yesterday and Leicester just after half time springing to mind, chasing the forest game, the start of the City game and so on.

But then all that said, we've also looked very vulnerable whilst playing that way too. So perhaps he feels he has no choice but to play the way we have been.

He didn’t get too close but he looked like he started to approach and then everyone started booing so he backed off. He gestured as if to apologise for the performance. Many other managers would have gone straight down the tunnel so he gets my respect for that.

I just wonder if he thinks we'll eek out enough points being very cautious etc
