• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Great Article. Though I'm not sure if it settled me or made me more nervous 😂😂. As the article mentioned this next appointment now needs to be planned and chosen carefully. No knee jerk reactions. I'll wait, the fans will wait if we know the right appointment comes in. OK Rodgers won't come in for many reasons, but imagine that statement, and him turning this all around. I do feel now is the tome to make a statement and not another random prospect.

Great article Phil, but are we sure there is no plan B or are the club keeping it under wraps so that that cant be hijacked too?

I am hoping that the club were not over confident in getting Hellberg and therefore had no plan B .

Hopefully there is and one which is not a knee jerk reacton...hopefully there is no news because the club are keeping a lid on things.

Its a major crossroads for the club this appointment needs to be right we cant keep sacking managers.

As you say Phil the hierarchy seems to lack football knowledge or is Modric being consulted?
That said during our most recent years our board and DoF whilst fans and had played the game had no experience at football league level yet it did us no harm....untill persons beleived they were more knowledgable than they were.

Im sitting with fingers crossed we get this right and soon.
Meanwhile we have a game Saturday a "local" derby....I guess the remaining coaching staff will be in charge which will put the much duscussed O' Dea in the spotlight if that is the case it will he interesting to see if anything has changed

The hunt’s been heating up this afternoon.

TG: “Hi Al, it’s Tom”
AC: “Er, Tom who?”
TG: “Oh, er, yeah, sorry, it’s Tom Gorringe”
AC: “Er, Tom Gorringe who?”
TG: “I run Swansea”
AC: “The City? I thought that was Rob Stewart?”
TG: “No, I mean Swansea City AFC. ‘The massive Swanies’; ‘the White Men’…”
AC: “Er…right…”
TG: “Well.. We, er I mean I, was wondering if you’d possibly be able to see your way to, you know, maybe come and, er, help us out for a bit”.
AC: Oh right, ok. So a bit of match day promo for Swans TV or maybe host a hospitality session. Yeah, sure Tim, always a pleasure”.
TG: “Er no, not exactly. We, er I, was hoping you’d come and manage the team again”.
AC: ….
TG: “Al, hello? Are you there?”
AC: “Tim?”
TG: “Er, yes?”
AC: “Feck off. And you can call me Curt, but don’t call me Al”
(Line goes dead)
TG: (crying) “It’s Tom”
