Good morning all. HNY. I will be bringing my grandson to the game today (his 1st time watching the Swans) and was wondering if there is still a park and ride for match days? We are coming from Llanelli. Thanks in advance for any help 😀

Happy New Year 👍🏼

Not sure on any park and rides that are operating today. There's a council car park in the Strand which is usually £1 an hour, could leave the car in there and use the shuttle bus back and forth from the Jack bar.

Hope you grandson enjoys his first of many games to come 😉

Thanks Smurph, I phoned the ticket office and they suggested the carpark opposite the ground, so we got there at 1.45, took some pics outside, wandered around the club shop then went in for a bite to eat before the game. He thoroughly enjoyed and I think I am going to have to explain to his dad that I've converted him from a man utd fan to a JB (he will be gutted). He's already asked if "we can go to the next game" 😀

Tell his old man he’s a proper fan not a plastic glory boy.

Club should make every effort to attract the youngsters, make the visit to the stadium a special occasion, free drink or cheapo freebee and the kids will love it. Get em “hooked” young.

My daughter took our grandchildren to watch Auckland FC in the A league yesterday at Mount Smart stadium, they had a giant slide (the stadium is in a bowl) games for the kids very cheap food and lots of activities to keep kids occupied including penalty competitions and music etc. They were thoroughly entertained and enjoyed the day out, she said they drifted in and out of watching the game but were happy to be there as there was so much to see and do even when the game was ongoing, they both asked to go again (the son in law usually goes on his own) in affect by doing these activities they have sold 3 extra tickets for the next game and have potentially gained fans for life. The family tickets for all 4 were about $90 NZD about £40.

Auckland lost but i guess thats part of the life of a fan.
