Toss a coin. Either give me an experienced 36 year old player who has just won a trophy and has premier league experience, or Key who has been dreadful and cost us a lot of matches. Yes Ward has not played for ages and this might be a waste, but who knows. We was never gonna sign a permanent and why Parker hasn't played? Maybe the club is also looking at it as a way to rebuild Keys confidence and have someone who can help him. It might literally be an experienced squad member who can help. Think a lot of over reaction. He proberly will come and go, and make 2 appearances. But the way Key was playing and yes even if Ward had only played a small amount of times, literally anyone could do better than Key than this season. Cyprus last season was so over weight and slow. I can't see any player being this bad.

Santos and Burgess were the experience that we signed in the summer but Santos is now looking like a mistake and if things go to plan then he needs replacing for the rest of the season.
Santos was a Sheehan signing something he really pushed for. His injury was nasty and was only ever gonna be a back up and ea brought in because we had Cabango injured and Darling was gone.

Yes but it goes back to the experience point doesn't it. Santos was shite but one of a very select few old heads in the squad
Agreed. We can all slag off Fulton and rightly so sometimes, but it's been reported he brings alot to the squad behind the scenes and someone who has no dramas. It's all about experience, and we have lost alot in the summer with Naughton gone etc.

But one of the reasons we’re looking to offload Santos (and we haven’t got rid of him as yet as far as we know), is because he’s too slow for the system we are trying to play. Ward is 6 years older than him.
Maybe to some extent with his style but it was a Sheehan signing and one he wanted due to his history with Santos. His injury history hasn't helped and imagine its been made clear to Santos that his opportunities will be limited with loans ahead of him. So makes sense for both parties to agree to go there own ways

If I'm the manager of a club I'm looking at giving youngsters their opportunities not blocking their pathway by signings 36 year old players who not played in 18 months.

Only way we'll find out if the kids are good enough is by giving them their chance.

I agree. Even though my posts might contridic this. I have been advocating for Parker to play for a while, but it just doesn't seem to be happening. It has been said that maybe Ward is being brought in more of replacement for Santos. But also gives us a back up option for Key. Hope Parker gets a start on Sunday. Personally I don't have any issue in adding experience into the squad for short term.

Considering how many youngsters he got through at Liverpool I’m shocked it doesn’t look like Parker will even get a chance.

It is what it is.

Just seems odd

Signing an experienced 36 year old Premier League player who's ready to play is 1 thing but Ward will be nowhere near match fit, really strange opinion for me

Don't all come at me for this 🫢🤣🤣.. But it's being reported that he may being brought in for more than just on pitch player. And he is aware that he is a back up. Let's see how it pans out.

Don't worry everyone, we've got the tennis expert on football transfers and admitted we spent 7 million on Adam idah and we're a shoo-in for the play offs.. except the fact Millwall should've beat us 6 or 7-1.. honestly, fans are not turning up.. it's empty down there, except a piss up on Friday night against Wrexham

As for Ward, he was a good player about 5 years ago, and the way everyone goes on about fitness of young men and our whole department, he'll be game ready in a year! Uppa Swans! I'm not buying tickets for Sunday, f*ck that
