Hull are on great form 6 wins from the last 8
Won away at Preston 3 nil last night
Beat Southampton away on Saturday .
They have recruited well .
Lots of pace up front Ollie McBurnie another assist and goal last night .
Kyle Joseph wasn't in the squad last night .
Joe Geldart back after 6 weeks out .
Biggest test for Matos coming up ,
Can we manage a tough 3 game week ?
Ipswich looking good after a poor start expecting them to be in the top 2 .

As to relegation, come back when we’ve won 5 more games. In this division anything can happen at the death. SW are doomed, and I’d bet on Oxford and Blackburn to join them from seeing them on the pitch.

I reckon we won’t actually be that far from 6th at the finish, but I’m taking nothing for granted. I half expect us to do Hull on Saturday, and that’ll be a test of where we are. The teams in top 6 from Coventry down are no great shakes at all.
We're on 36 points with 18 games to go

5 wins would put us on 51 points and just about safe. Let's throw in 3 more draws

So W5 D3 L10

If we don't achieve that then things will be worrying.

Let's be positive and negative.

Say we scraped into 6th spot. And scraped a play off win 😀

I'd dread the Prem tbh. 😞

Though if we could get more than Derby or Wolves points I'd take it 😃

Seriously though, is the Prem a realistic ambition these days for a Club our size/income - and also given the gap that is much wider than when we went up in 2011. (Plus we had a brilliant squad)

For home form over the last 5 games must be close to top. 13 out of 15 and 16 out of 18 last 6. He’s made attending so much more appealing.
The only caveat I’d add to that is that we’ve had a run of games against teams down the bottom. Oxford (23rd), Pompey (22nd), Blackburn (21st) and West Brom (19th). We’re definitely better under Matos and should have comfortably enough to stay away from the relegation battle, but I don’t see us making any kind of playoff challenge this season.

Still have nightmares about our relegation from the Premier league. Looked at one stage we had clawed our way out of trouble ,with strugglers Stoke and Southampton to come at home. Our last 10 games were a complete disaster , and also got beaten by both of those at home. Never take anything for granted in football, both at the top and bottom, it's got a nasty habit of coming back and biting you on the arse.

The reason we were relegated was the manager Carlos Cavarhal lost the plot went ultra defensive with 3 central defenders with the Ayew's up front , we couldn't score didn't help we played Man City , Man Utd , Chelsea
To lose to both Southampton in a game week had to win was painful.

Championship is a brutal league. Literally anyone can beat anyone on any given day, and games are (more often than not) decided on slim margins.
When you open up the opposition - you HAVE to make the most of the opportunity, and you HAVE to take your chances.
Not wanting to "pile on" but feck me - how many times do our wide men get in great positions and create nothing? Eom is the best of them in terms of threat - but in Ronald we might just have the only Brazilian who can't play football.
It is a conundrum for me - because I do love his work rate and application - BUT at the end of the day we cannot squander all our possession and not trouble the score board.
It is made to look even worse because the delivery from Tymon is so fantastic - If we had any kind of creative force to support Vipotnik we would be scraping wins and draws from the jaws of defeat.
Maybe part answer is Galbraith into midfield - and perhaps we need to gamble on the Matos rehabilitation of Josh Key. A right winger who performs the day job adequately - on loan or permamently - would be a massive upgrade.

If we are struggling for a right back(as we have been for a lot of the season) recall Lissah and play him there. He's having rave reviews, and other teams recall on loan players when they need them .
