He wasn’t caught out of position for either. He was dispossessed in the RB spot against Blackburn after a double press.

Against Blackburn he was again in position, Ronald dropped back in the wingback slot and didn’t close his man quick enough, but Galbraith was where he should be.

I'd rather target a Rb on loan and get galbraith back in the middle

100% agree with everyone saying Galbraith needs to move into midfield. The scary part of it is, Key once again looked terrible in defense mode yesterday and I would rather have Galbraith in that position than Key. Key looked far better on the attack and as many have said maybe he should be used more on that front. Ward I'm worried he won't go long due to legs. Something we have to address in the summer. And area we have been weak for a long time.

Under Key we was leaking goals on that side. Galbraith as you mentioned proberly once or twice. I mean he does come into midfield and leaves a massive gap. Like I said, we need him in midfield, but he is doing a far better job than Key so needs must. I would keep him there unless ward can do 60 minutes.

We certainly need goals. We bought midfielders/wingers in with goal tallys of 3/4/5 in a season. We needed a central midfielder capable of helping out with goals, a player capable of pushing 8/10 goals over a season.
I think looking back and hindsight is a great thing, we should have been pushing hard or similar to someone like Sylla at Schalke, a goalscoring winger who could also play up top to have also helped with goals out wide and offered options across the front 3.

Let's not forget a RB which seems to have been put on the back burner until the summer. Lissah hopefully returning will certainly answer a few questions at RB and centre half cover.

Looks like Reading are buying a different centre back instead of Santos.

Reading signed 2 defenders last week .
Haydon Roberts from Bristol City for an undisclosed fee , scored on his debut .

For me we are a better side when Galbraith plays right back .
The midfield with Stamenic and Franco appears to work better .
The game against Birmingham was a great watch from the East Stand Galbraith was excellent first half the running with the ball into midfield his passing top drawer .
His battle with Koumas very good .

Second half Birmingham seemed to attack more down the right with Koumas causing us problems
On occasions he gets caught out of position Ward came on Galbraith into midfield.

I wouldn’t say he has a natural position. He’s played RB almost more than any other position on the pitch in his career. There is about 10 appearances in it between RB and 8, so by the end of the season he would have played RB more than any other position in his pro career.

He’s not playing right back by design for us. I have no doubt he was signed with the promise of playing in the centre of midfield.

Did we sign him to play right back or central midfield?
I would take a guess it was central midfield given he started the season there and only went into RB due to Key lack of form. I think a recent interview from him suggests he prefers CM.
