I believe so, looking at Wrexham, they probably have some of the biggest revenue numbers in the league and have spent big since making it to the Championship. They were recently linked to Cherif for £12M who also had interest from Palace (I don’t know if Wrexham interest was just paper talk though).

Gorringe has said that we have deals and opportunities open to us that are worth quite a bit more than we are currently bringing in through revenue so perhaps we’ll be spending more in future windows?
I would suspect they will if these deals are forthcoming.
One thing you can't knock these owners for is being pro active with signing players.

What worries me more than spending on transfer fees is the wages. So easy for numbers to get silly, especially when clubs are desperate to sign a player. We know all too well from our PL era, how wages can climb and leave you selling off everything in sight.

Yeah, I think Wrexham had something like £17.5m more commercial revenue than us.

Concern with this, if we are unable to pay any fee now or very minimal then we are very close to the limit financially.
If this is not the case then we could easily have paid a low fee to get the move permanent with a promise of X amount in the summer and so on.

The only advantage to his parent club to loan now for little or nothing is that we pay more then come the summer.

This money that has been discussed incoming in the summer better be factual with these long contracts and fees being spread over the length of them. It has a feeling of boom or bust to it all.
Gorringe stated in that podcast he did that the sponsorship deals they were negotiating dwarfed any deals the club have ever done before; even bigger than the Premier League days.

The fact that we've been sailing close to the wind in terms of FFP is not new information. Most clubs are I'd imagine.

A doubling of our last reported figures would be an additional £8m coming in, which would be roughly where we were in the Prem, inflation not taken into account.

Any idea whom this large investment from?
It's been a curiosity dangled by Gorringe publicly so it looks to be a goer or otherwise he is a very silly boy to be mentioning it if it's not a cert.
Not sure who or if we are getting another investment, but big sponsor in the summer (Gorringe Said) and Snoop has hinted in recent interview. I am no expert but as many have said and what Gorringe has mentioned in his interview that having a large sponsor will help with getting bigger signings as it doesn't play into the PSR rules.

It’s nuts, what has happened to them in 5 years. Whatever else we may say or think, you can’t fault the commitment from McElhenney and Reynolds.
And it’s not just pumping money in, because you can’t do that unless you get a model that increase income that then allows you to spend on the squad. They’re getting it right off the pitch foremost. We’re kind of pissing around in that area dabbling with celebs but are miles behind.

It's going to be an interesting summer and I believe a better foundation player wise to build on even if we do sell players like Vipotnik and Galbraith....dare I say it even both.
As tough as I am on things(I prefer the word realistic) then even I can see the positives and encouraging foundation going into next season.

In terms of proven pedigree, Walta has to be our best signing of the Champ era? He might be an absolutely crocked lump of shite, but his stats from last season and international caps imply that he's an absolute coup
Was saying this to someone the other day, we don’t usually sign players who have good goal scoring records, even in the Swedish/Dutch leagues.

Vipotnik had done well for Maribor and got 10 in France for Bordeaux but we only got him due to their collapse.

Feels like a shift from our normal type of signing, this one is potential but also comes with a good record.

It’s more appropriate to say that we are laying the foundations, and this takes a little time. We’re certainly doing more than dabbling; our next shirt sponsor is going to confirm this.
