It’s a bit like Thomas Frank leaving Brentford for Spurs or Brendan leaving for Liverpool.
You’ve got to go for it but far more is expected.
Spurs are obviously a bigger club than Brentford but it’s quite funny that he left a club that finished 7 places above Spurs last season and they’re currently 8 places above them.

Agreed that the club shouldn't stand in the way of a player going on to bigger and better things. We need to do what is right for everyone concerned.

If a Liverpool come knocking it's doubtful we'd stand in the way. If a Sheffield United come knocking I'd expect the player to honour their contract.
Whats boiling my piss is that some on here seem to want him to be sold wether he want a move or not. The " if somebody came in with 10 mill then great take it " brigade.

If somebody comes in with 10 plus million it’s a no brainer for the football club.
Where we’ll get another (at least) 20 goal a season striker from mind is anybody’s guess.

We could sell and buy Agyemang from Derby as a replacement. How much do you think he'd cost?

So £16m for him, yet many are valuing the guy who's scored twice as many goals as him at just £10m?
The valuation is largely irrelevant, it’ll come down to what offers come in. Personally, I’d be surprised if any clubs offered more than £15m and if that means we keep him for another season I’d be delighted.

I’d also be surprised if we turned down an 8 figure fee for any of our players though. If we do sell, hopefully it’s a bidding war and we get as much as possible.

Not really. If we value him at £18m, yet only receive offers of £10m, then clubs are going to miss out on their man. He's going to be massively in demand, teams will be desperate to land him - we need to make sure we're properly compensated

Granted he's a good player, but not sure what you're basing that statement off?
Scalability at a higher level. More mobile, better movement in the box and doesn't take a long time to set his shots up. His hold up and link up play is worse but he brings you alot more inside of the box and the ability to play in behind.

Appreciate the explanation! I think Zan's power and range of shooting (he can score from anywhere and either foot/head), his vastly improved hold up play, makes him the better player. Adding in the fact that he's 18 months younger, that gives him the edge on a transfer value
