Definitely should take what we get from him. Anything 10mill and above I'd accept.

As for a ST if Vip goes they'd obviously bring one in but we'd have to cross that bridge when we come to it. To get promoted from this league you have to sell your players especially when they are overvalued to then reinvest.
Thank god you aren’t running the club then. Got to be worth 20-30 million in anyone’s money- especially if he does what I think he will do and hit 25 plus. Players who can smash a ball with both feet are as rare as rocking horse shit. Add the free kicks and all of a sudden his worth has shot up.

I fear you will be heavily disappointed in the summer then if you think he's worth that.

£30 million is extremely wide of the mark.

He has missed a few sitters this season and I could easily argue that his goal tally could be three, four or even five higher. That would then bring £20 million well into view.

Based on where he is now and the evident limitations in some areas of his game, I’d place him at £16m to £18m.

Premier League clubs don't tend to spend heavily on Championship strikers these days. Might get the odd one or two, but it's rarer than it used to be.

I think about £15m is the highest anyone would go.

Doesn't have to be a PL club though - can see those on the continent also being interested. Even a relegated PL side might think he'd be a good investment to help get them promoted. We're in a good spot anyway and hold all the cards

Goals aren't the be all and end all for a teams reasoning behind signing ST. If that was the case Piroe would of had premier league clubs queuing up to sign him instead he had none.

Premier league clubs are smart nowadays, you can't fool them to pay a premium for a ST who has had one good season especially if they think he won't be able to translate his game to a higher level.

Sargent, Piroe, Brereton Diaz, Carlton Morris, Whittaker, even Adam Armstrong to an extent are players who scored a ridiculous amount of goals over 1 season or more and had little to no premier league interest.

His best bet is a foreign club and then those fees typically tend to be around ≈10mill.

If he does get a move, I can see it being abroad. He’s already shown in Ligue 2 that he could hit goals (10 for a struggling Bordeaux side is more than decent at 21 years old). With his added experience here, I could easily see him playing in Ligue 1.

Fernerbache have been spending money recently too, I could see him suiting it out there quite well.

Exactly I think he'll go to a foreign league and the automatically caps the fee at ≈10mill. People who think we'll get 20mill+ are living on a other planet.

He'll only go ( in the words on Gorringe but not specifically about Vip ) when the valuation the club have put on him is either matched or exceeded

My biggest fear really is we will be going into the new season with a new striker. With Vip gone (it's gonna happen), we will be reliant on Wales and Idah. Which I have 0 issues with. But would be nice for once to go into a season with a goal scorer with confidence and one that knows the club. Saying that, and I'll throw it out there maybe this will be a 1 hit wonder season for Vip? And we should gamble and take as much as possible. Who knows.
Oh FFS - the bloke can’t win - score 7 in a struggling side and Gey pelters and when he’s top of the scoring charts by 3 clear goals he’s a one season wonder!
He’s been scoring all his career. He’s got class stamped all over him amd if premier league teams are interested that should te you something.

I would factor in that the wages on offer in the Championship are likely on par/higher than what's available at the majority of top-flight clubs in other leagues across Europe outside the big boys/Champions League regulars.

I'm sure clubs across Europe were in for Vipi when he was suddenly a free agent and we won that bidding war.

There's zero chance Vip is being sold for anything more than £10-15m MAX.

People are going to be disappointed if they think we have a £20+ million striker on our hands.

My guess would be £10-12m if he continues at his current rate and finishes Championship top scorer.
