• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Just catching up with results. Does a meagre 15 pages of MDT mean it was all a bit meh?

We could use one of our 400 coaches to talk to Parker…

And I think we’ve used to him to the detriment of others.

Anyway - one more game and he’s gone.

I doubt any of our 400 coaches played over 360 prem games and won the FA Cup. My point being, he was never a permanent fix I dare say is off field presence has gone unseen and was cover for Cabango and Burgess which thankfully wasn't needed.

First half was very low energy, it felt every bit like an "on the beach already" performance
Second half was better until substitutions and we gave up control of the midfield with 20 minutes to go
Their penalty some say is harsh others say is an obvious penalty
I'm of the opinion that if Vigs got something on the cross its not a penalty, but if he didn't then its a foul
He probably would have got there before the defender if Burgess hadn't headed the ball clear for a corner

I would have been more angry about it if we had anything still riding on it

Just seen their penalty, a definite coming together between Vigs and Kvistgaarden. Does Burgess clearing it mean that it should have been a corner? The ball was very likely dead when the clash happened. Should have been better communication between Vigs and Burgess to prevent that situation though.

Our pen you could argue was soft but there’s a definite pull on Vipotnik’s shirt so by the letter of the law I can see why they gave it.

You see so many defenders gamble on that kind of tug

They often look soft or innocuous but they twist the attacker's center of gravity and either cost them pace or makes them lose their balance altogether. These kinds of little tugs are tactical and absolutely intended, they should be picked up on and penalized more than they are

100%, it always gets said that they’re gonna crack down on it and they never do.

Also found it funny that the two pens were the only highlights from the second half. Must have been a thriller!

Fair play to our travelling fans today. It’s a damn long way to go for fairly meaningless on the beach game.

Over 28,000 views though. People have been writing in paragraphs today and have elongated their replies. They are improving their skills, slowly!

We were hard done by. It was never a penalty and maybe if Vigs had gone to ground clutching his head too then the penalty decision could have been different. Cullen easily fell away from the decisive midfield challenge that led to the goal. Stating the obvious he's no midfielder.

It was an enjoyable game. Both teams are hugely improved compared to the last time we played each other. Our defence did well to contain Toure, but we need another winger with goal-scoring ability. Ronald not only lacks that, yesterday he didn't show the pace to exploit some really good passes. It's true there was a fair amount of aimless hoofing on our part, particularly in the later stages of the game, but there was also some decent football from both sides and end-to-end action.
