• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

What an achievement it’ll be for Parkinson if he manages to get them up. Taken them from non league to the biggest league in the world.

And fair play to them for sticking with him. There were times in the autumn when it looked like ‘the project’ was failing and most clubs with wealth would have given him the boot.

Still don’t know how he will do in the PL but if they brought in players for the level he might do okay.

I don't want Wrectum to go up or the media (and their fans) will be insufferable. From a selfish point of view, I want to come over for the away fixture next season too.

A lot of their newer fans were calling for his head after the start they made to the season. The older heads knew it was far too early to make a change. The tour to Australia and New Zealand meant they were playing catch up. The new editions were brought in after that tour and it didn’t give them any time to bed in. After they acclimatised they went from strength to strength and have had some impressive wins, they have also had some matches where they were atrocious. They have been hot and cold this season.

I saw the prematch chat on the pitchside and noted that Lampard said that signing Grimes was the first step in rebuilding and setting up the way they were going to play.Say what you like about Grimes and his time with us ,but I always thought it would be a loss to us,
We have coped without him but they have scored bucketfuls of goals with him in midfield this season so you have to question our tactics over the years.Good luck to him in the PL at last he has got there.

He was meant to have been gone before Xmas according to a lot on here. Add in that all the players they bought were crap as well, he’s a walking miracle worker 🤣

He needed the break from us as much as we as a club needed it.
He got too comfortable with us and that effected both us and himself.
