Absolutely fantastic job by Matos and the players to turn this around, after a very gloomy first half to the season. In January it looked like we'd be fighting to stay in the league...and we finished only 9 points off the playoffs.

Well done to all involved. A positive way to finish the season...bring on 2026/27.

Wrexham stays in Championship 😂. Walta and Idah scoring. And finishing where we have, seem massive improvements. I'll take that bring on next season.

I thought close season playoffs were the goal and we've fallen short I don't want to be negative because there's a good vibe at the moment and long may it continue!

I think I had us down to be towards the top of the bottom half before a ball was kicked. So to nearly make top 10 after how the season started is brilliant to be honest. Taking Matos was a risk, but it is a risk that has paid off handsomely. He's been a breath of fresh air.

Next season, we should be looking to get into that top 8 early on and cement a play-off spot. As always, a lot will depend on comings and goings on the playing staff, but with the shape the club is in these days there is no reason anymore for that not to be the minimum target.

Roll on August. 💪🏻

Above is the results of the poll that closed on 9th September. Congrats to the majority of the total 108 voters who turned out to be correct. I thought I was one of them but I actually said play offs!

I think season was always the start of a 2-3 year project of getting to the playoffs. And if we take it from that perspective it’s been a massive success

He’s had 30 league games, won 14 and lost 11. A very creditable win rate of 46.67%. Over a 46 game league season that’s around 21/22 wins and surely enough to get into the play offs. And turn some of those narrow losses into draws(think WBA(a), Stoke, Hull and Millwall(a), Saints(h), then that would be a certainty.
More importantly, it’s actually been enjoyable watching the Swans again, after the turgid, boring stuff offered up by Russ and Luke Williams
The future is certainly bright under Matos, and I hope now the owners back him in the summer.

A 3 year plan to maybe make the playoffs? Wow. :ROFLMAO: I wish Id been in that press conference. In a crazy dvision where a releated team got relegated again and Millwall almost went up auto, and your 3 year plan is playoffs? Christ.

A 3 year plan is sensible to me
Coventry , Millwall , Boro didnt build a side capable of promotion or playoffs in 1 or 2 transfer windows .
I'm happy with the progress the clarity of what we need is clear .
" God laughs at he who makes plans"

3 years to go from lower midtable to playoffs doesn’t sound outlandish to me either. If we had appointed Matos earlier we may even be talking about a top 8 finish this season which would be clear progress from the last. We can’t forget that we were pretty stagnant for the first 16 games despite our table position sometimes looking okay.
