Good end, in the end. Comfortable, Fish could have brought his knitting. Suck on that Nat Jones.

That was an incredible free kick. Reminded me of Borini, but it was even further out.

Trying to remember the last time we had a set piece specialist in the club
Celina perhaps?

Quick Summary.

Walta grew into the game and it's been a while since we had a free kick specialist. Really happy for Idah and getting 2. Hope Widell injury isn't to serious. Woodward did really well for first appearance. Cullen needs to be sold or used as last choice sub. Wrexham stay in championship 😂 and we finish in too half of the table. And 9 points off play offs. Take that considering the mess Sheehan and O Dea caused.

A great second half where next season is concerned. 3 goals without Vipotnik being involved. Two for who is likely to be our striker and one excellent free kick from Walta who showed the most quality we’ve seen from him so far. Key was excellent all game. Woodward looked decent and picked up an assist, hopefully he’s the next star out of our academy. Matos got the subs right despite us conceding.

Can we push on next season? Let’s hope so!

First half was a typical end of season game but second half was very enjoyable. Great for Idah to get a couple and beauty of a free kick to finish the season. Be interesting to see how Matos can get Walta into the team and get the maximum out of him next season - clearly has loads of ability.

Ended up pretty much where I expected in August, but overall another up and down season. Hoping for some managerial stability and a far more positive 1st half of the season next year.

The biggest thing is getting him playing through the middle with fast attacking wingers either side of him.

Eom is inconsistent, when on top form he is almost unplayable but that happens maybe twice a season
Ronald has excellent positional sense but creates so little with the opportunities given to him
Nunes goes back to his parent club
Inoussa will recover over the summer
Congreve returns from his loan in the Scottish Prem in a couple of weeks

Ideally you want two first choice wingers on each side, burn one pair out after about an hour then bring on the fresh legs. Transfer team have a lot of work to do to find the right faces

I’d like to see him playing centrally too, but if we persist with the current set up of a 6 and two 8s in midfield I could see Matos playing him on the left with a licence to roam a bit from there.
