You would end up with a lot of very unhappy players if everyone was good enough to be in the starting 11. It’s important to have players in a squad who are happy to fill the backup roles because they don’t quite have the quality of the first team.

Honestly I was sat next to someone who moaned nonstop for 90 minutes on Tuesday, granted it was quite a scrappy game but we were up 3-1!

Yeah it’s been dull for years now, and I used to think the excitement would come back again if we got promoted. But the past month has shown that games can be enjoyable in a mid table scrap in the championship. It feels like there’s a buzz in the air again. My ambition is for that to continue

Ronald has been improving quite nicely under Matos, his defensive contributions have been immense and he is starting to take players on and put some dangerous balls in the box consistently. I don’t think he needs replacing, if we do get a rw in it will be for cover.

Or its confirmation bias. Easy to ignore all the good stuff they’ve done in a game and focus on the few mistakes a player makes. You could do that with almost any player and convince yourself they’re useless.
