    The Season’s Conclusion

8th lowest scorers in league, puts us the bottom quarter. Our away record against the top 10 is shocking. We need to face up to our problems and acknowledge them if we want to move forward and improve. It's going to be a huge task to replace Vipotnik alone given the goals he has scored which...

WOW! I didn't realise it was that poor.

    Cameron (Brainless) Burgess

He's a professional footballer so I would expect him to be atleast confident to use his right foot. I believe the goal highlighted his inability and comfort on his right side. It was far too easy for Broadband.

Left footer covering on the right side and boy did it show in the following few seconds.

A few thoughts after the recent games

Great post. I agree with you regards Key. It seems that he has got over his little hangover but he's still not the answer even if he is back to his best. We don't need centre back cover, we need competition in that area. All the wingers could be shipped out this summer and I don't think...

    The Season’s Conclusion

It's getting to that stage now? Seems like we hit this point and it becomes clearer each season what we need but don't seem to get it done. We certainly need a centre half capable of bringing something to the 1st team. A right back-Key isn't the answer. We need wingers who can atleast cross...

    Galbraith or O'Brien

Agreed. O'Brien is a good footballer but also brings a know how to his game, he does and knows the darker arts. An O'Brien in our team instead of Franco but alongside Galbraith makes a huge difference.

Not worked out and will be on a pretty penny wage wise.

Fair point. I can only think that he believes he isn't up to the level. That said, we were first linked to Walta before Matos came on board. You may be right, he might not rate him.

I think Lissah will come back but I think he will act as 2nd choice RB and 4th choice centre half. My fear is, we will target a CB who will act as 3rd choice. With regards the RB situation, I really don't know if the plan will be to keep Key or move him on.

Widell will be a bit part player unfortunately. When you have midfielders in Stamenic,Galbraith, Franco and our new scoring hope in Walta available. Widell really needs to step up massively as a creative threat. Without that creative or goal threat then he's not doing anymore than the players I...

This is the thing. If you are going to play like that, you need that player ala Siggy in midfield who has that quality....hopefully that will be Walta Or A player like Sinclair on the wing, someone who can bring that goal threat.

Hang on now! Walta is a young chap in a new country, he was on his off season when he joined us. He has no experience in British football and can't be judged on this alone after 6 weeks. He needs to be bedded in but we now have 8 games to do that. I will also say, if Yalcouye isn't going to be...

Too many similar central midfielders and we don't have that creative or even winger with pace to supply VIP or turn a backline. Widell brings energy but still not bringing that creativity to the table.

You can't judge Walta or Nunes! Agreed though, we have invested in a lot of players in positions that should see a lot more creativity. The team/squad is looking far more solid than it was 12/18 Months ago though and we really should be looking to push on next season. Galbraith is a rolls...

I think tonight was a bad night. Looks like Tymon and possibly Key are injured. I'm not even going to go down the narrative of "We played some nice football" It's highlighted our issues, we need to take that on board and work on it.

Widell despite the noises here and there has been a big disappointment for some and I would be hard pushed to disagree.
