    I'd blame the managers more than Grimes, he played the way they wanted him too. Nothing to stop any of them dropping him, he was hardly ever substituted. The only one who ever did anything different with him was Potter

    My favourite England batsman of that era. Fabulous aggressive attacking player. His biography is a really good book but he was very open about his struggles since his cricket career finished.

    I'll let you know after the Oxford game, we were moving the ball quicker & looking better at the start yesterday but it only lasted about 20 minutes.

    He's had at most 3 full training sessions with the players, give him a bloody chance. He's now got a week to work with them before the Oxford game so at least see what the approach is in that game.
