Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
Great way to end the season. On the balance of probabilities, Idah will be our starting striker next season, so him bagging a couple is fantastic. Impressive debut for Woodward, sensational goal from Walta.
The last ever matchday thread on jackarmy.net has also been a bit of a lame affair so far. Need to up our game in the 2nd half. Start some fights and call each other Cardiff fans for the smallest of reasons.
Yeah. He had a couple of moments towards the end there, but before that, I swear every pass he made was to Burgess or Cabango. Leo, get me off the couch and I could do that; you're there because you can play facing the opponents goal and create things. He's not the only one guilty of that...
The idea of an independent Wales, part of the EU and going its own path, has always appealed to me. The patronizing negativity and gaslighting that this idea always generates from certain quarters only seemed to reinforce my belief. I'm not sure if it's ever going to happen, but I still hold out...
The problem I have with the Vital forum is that it seems borderline unusable with all the ads. It takes 10-15 seconds sometimes to just load the page; cant' be doing with that. If I use an ad-blocker it keeps popping up asking me to disable. I'm browsing as a guest, does being logged in as a...
Good question. I'm not sure to be honest.
I got his impressive goal tallies from the article about him signing a new deal recently: https://www.swanseacity.com/news/thomas-woodward-pens-new-swansea-city-deal
A midfielder that scores 15-20 goals a season? yes please. Obviously a huge leap between age-group football and EFL Championship football, but no harm in giving him some minutes against Charlton, then aim for a good loan to L1/L2/Scottish Prem next season.
Edit - did him a disservice with that...
I think there's a danger of being in a perpetual state of 'This time next year, we'll be millionaires, Rodders' when you're always buying future potential. I'm fine with us signing one or two seasoned pros if it helps us get over the hump into being a consistent top 10 team again. Easier said...
As others have said, this site has been inextricably linked to my experience as a swans fan over the past twenty...four? years since I joined the forum. It's a testament to Phil's work and the community that's grown on here that there are still so many people around from those early days that...
He had a similar good run in the final few months of last season as well and we all thought he'd kick on this season and it didn't really happen for one reason or another. Let's hope he can make that step up next season as a few more assists/goals from him and he'd be a superstar. Lovely...
