• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Play offs..

I think it's more the lack of diversity in where those goals are coming from. If Vip stays fit and continues to score at this rate, fine, but a dry spell for 4-5 games from him and I'd question if we'd have enough goals in the rest of the team to keep up the momentum. Not saying it's impossible...

    Ref Watch

On a kinda related note, I've long thought throw-ins are ripe for some rule changes to stop time-wasting. With the multi-ball system there's no reason it has to take an age to get the ball back in play. I think setting a time-limit for delivering the ball back in play from the time the player...

    Play offs..

The big issue is anyone scoring goals aside from Vip, and I'm not sure how that's going to change significantly between now and the end of the season. Idah could come back and have a storming end to the season I suppose, and I think a few players are 'due' some goals, such as Eom, Widdell and...

    A Port Talbot Team

Couldn't quite make it out, but I think I heard someone questioning the reason for the sell-out against Preston before it all went off.

You are 100% right about that. This thread is a great example and totally bizarre, and I'm generally a happy clapper, always have been.

Saw something similar from Wolves after their last-gasp equalizer last week:

I'm all for praising wingers for putting a shift in, but putting the occasional ball in would be appreciated as well.

That was a grit and determination win. Lacking in quality at times, but real effort and commitment from everyone got us over the line there. Felt like a big win, that.

We've not offered much in the middle of the park. Really need more from central areas as we're almost entirely limiting ourselves to doing everything down the flanks where there are too many bodies. Nunes and Eom lacking quality in key moments not helping - as well as Tymo being a non-factor...

the towel thing is common in the US, particularly ‘football’ (NHL and college). We’re not talking full beach towels here, just a commemorative item you’re supposed to wave above your head Penn State Univeristy is deeply addicted to white towel waving as an example:

First half we made Derby retreat and play deep as we were picking them off in the press very effectively. I really don't think that was their game plan, especially looking at how pissed off and visibly frustrated Eustace looked. 2nd half after they got the lead it was a different game.

I thought we had plenty of quick turnovers, especially in the first half when Franco was at his pick-pocketing best. We just did nothing with them as we get the bends when we get to the final 3rd.

Meh. A very Swansea City day today. Slow passing among ourselves in our own half in injury time when we're 2 down was the chef's kiss there. Just too slow all round today, not enough desire. The frustrating thing is we look a good team in general until we get in the final 3rd and we turn to...

Derby are heading for the top 6 as it stands. What a league this is. Needs to be sectioned.

Franco looking like the player that won those awards his first season. Game will no doubt be played at a much more frantic tempo 2nd half if the Derby players can get Eustace's boot out of their arse. Not sure a more frantic game hurts us though as this walking pace football isn't getting us...

    NFL 2025

The left-tackle is especially important as they protect the blind-side (for right-handed QBs), so it's especially important to have a good left tackle or else your QB will just keep getting hit and get the jitters. Usually if a team has a good LT they lock them down, the rarely make it to free...

    NFL 2025

Game went how you'd expect really. Absolutely brutal for the rookies on the left of the Patriots OL (and therefore Maye who was bullied all night). That Seahawks defence is nasty (their punter was nailing everything as well). There was a time as the 3rd quarter went on where everyone watching...
