• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Take with a pinch of salt, but a Swedish user on Reddit who previously had early on Gyokeres and Widell has said that Hellberg has signed

    SHEEHAN SACKED

I think the 'worldies' point is highly incorrect. We've conceded some decent goals, but look at what we've scored ourself over the last 6 weeks. Nothing but goals from distance or wonder strikes, as we created absolutely bugger all

I'm on the fence with Hellberg seeing that we didn't appoint him last time, but he certainly looks the job on paper. He's also much less possession-obsessed than Martin/Williams, as seen with his versatility at Varnamo, and seems to be much more adaptable to the squad he has, rather than a 'one...

Eyes will jump to the high passing + possession stats at Hammarby, but look at the difference between there and his Varnamo team. I'm not massively keen on Hellberg, but that does demonstrate a versatility lacking in every one of our managers since... Rodgers?

Absolute mad idea that, missing out on a near fortnight of free training because the left back is out

Oh shit, he actually has. Thought this was a joke

If we get Corberan, I'll attend a Cardiff game in full Swans kit

Think Sheehan will be a solid manager in the future, and absolutely someone you bring in to steady a ship. Plenty of League One and lower Championship clubs could call on him later in the season, but not suited for us long term unfortunately

    Is the Team/Squad balanced?

Widell feels close enough to an established 10 to play there imo

    We want Sheehan out

I don't think he's going for a while yet. I think of Williams' last few months with us, where it felt terminal for about six weeks, and still we carried on in our deathspiral. The new owners might be more incisive, but I'd be surprised if he went before Christmas (and I'm someone who wants him off)
  15. WentToSchoolWith

    We want Sheehan out

Just to point out, we don't have the second worst xG. We have the worst. By a long way. Derby are 23rd with 14.8, and we are smack bottom with 12.5 according to FotMob
  16. WentToSchoolWith

    We want Sheehan out

Vital tends to be as close to a nailed on source as you'll find for the Swans, and he seems to be implying that there will be change over the International Break, be it Sheehan or the recruitment team
  17. WentToSchoolWith

    We want Sheehan out

We have to be very very careful here. Fourth season in a row where we are worse off than the season before, and there aren't many spaces left for us to sink lower. If we spin the manager roulette wheel, we have no margin for it getting worse.
